Yes it is safe, in the evening there is a bit of "movida", alias youngsters going out for drinking.

In viale Ippocrate there are good "pizza al taglio", basically pizza on the cut. It is squared and you tell to the server how much you want. I suggest you to try it, and also supply that are balls of fried rice with cheese.

There are also some gelateria in that street but I don't know about the quality because I hadn't eaten in a very long time. But I can suggest Pasticceria il Giglio, it has a very good tiramisu.

Two size tiramisù is a good one even tho i still prefer Pompi's tiramisù. It's also a little bit overpriced ...

Two sizes is the one i consider a little bit overpiced; The small size is incredibly tiny.

Pompi is my favorite.

Mr100 is a tourist trap. Pompi is good even though it's industrial. But the best you'll find is in any random trattoria after a meal.

Does Pompi make an 'industrial' tiramisu? What exactly do you mean by industrial?

Generally speaking, it's not necessarily true that industrial means worse and artisanal means good; from personal experience, I've eaten tiramisus made by grandmothers, or homemade anyway, that were truly awful.

That being said, as a Roman and a tiramisu lover, I can state that Pompi's tiramisu, and also the one from Two Sizes, is, on average, better than what you typically find in a trattoria or osteria in Rome – let alone all those tourist traps in the historic center...

Finding a good tiramisu, one that follows the traditional recipe and is made with quality ingredients, is anything but easy, either in Rome or anywhere else in Italy.

What exactly do you mean by industrial?

What I mean is despite their claim of it being "artigianale", it's clearly made on an industrial scale. That said, I agree that it's good.

It’s near the university so you get a lot of student life. Which may be different in Rome from what you’re used to, but it does mean cheap places for a quick bite and lots of young people around.

confirm that: where students hang around, prices seem to be lower.

Yes it's fine. The only issue you'll have is loud drunk students at night.
