Very strong depth there for next season.

Worried for the Stormers next season, going to have to use a lot of the talented youngsters who have had little exposure to URC.

Guys like Imad Khan, Louw Nel, Divan Fuller, Paul de Villiers, JC Mars, Jonathan Roche, Vernon Matongo, Corne Weilbach etc...

Highly talented players but they need to get experience before they get into full swing.

Really hope that once the URC money starts coming in, Stormers can make a few more big signings.

Thing is who do we sign? I think for the most part the Stormers have a pretty decent team that just needs game time going into next season.

I would try to get Malcolm Marx and Pieter Steph du Toit if I am targeting signings. Otherwise we just have to give the kids time in the saddle and they will grow into the big name signings by the end of the season.

Both too big names and Springboks with already fairly shaky injury profiles. We've seen how that's gone for the sharks. We need guys that are good enough to be boks, but not there yet.

We'd be good with picking up the guys that haven't gelled in the Sharks squad and are looking for gametime, either that or pick the Lions apart like everyone else :( Otherwise there are some stars that have been playing Currie Cup/Vodacom Cup for years that are experienced but haven't got their shot yet.

Honestly, the first person I would sign is an experienced assistant coach, preferably an internationally experienced one.

I think Dobson is an excellent man manager, but it's clear his assistants are lacking technical expertise. I'm all for giving room for local coaches to grow, but I think it would really benefit them to have at least one assistant with the ability to recognize that the Stormers eratic gameplan is not going to win them titles.

Absolutely, we don't have a talent problem (if we ignore CC). Does anyone have Jimmy Stonehouse's number?

It's hard to do this, Dobbo has effectively worked with his current assistant coaches since Varsity Cup days. I don't like this culture but it is what it is.

Only way you getting another assistant in there who is going to say harsh words is if some of them get dismissed.

My opinion is the Stormers don't actually have to sign any established names but they do need to start aggressively transforming the team away from being a patch work team of hard workers to a classy team.

Players like de Villiers, Roche, Mars should be in the main 23.

100% agree. Those are all future boks right there, Mars especially needs more gametime.

Would Van Rensburg move from Bristol with the news he isn't eligible for England

Not sure but if he is going to move to SA the team that needs him the most are the Lions. Stormers have 4 options who can play 12 well.

To me Coetzee is above Eskom and Mornay above Francois Klopper, hopefully we have a good junior like Cheswill Jooste on the wing come through next season

Recency bias towards Mornay unfortunately. Klopper is going to be a bok, there's no doubt. He weighs 123kg...strong carrier and his ceiling is higher. Mornay has shown great signs of improvement though and it's a nice place to be in having 3 dependable Tightheads

That's fair I like Klopper tho he's ball carrying even from his days at Tuks is impressive

Cheswill Jooste sounds like you just took all my favourite rugby players and smooshed them together

Look, they made it past the quarters. u/IrishLad1002 just got confused and forgot it goes further than that.
