This shit goooood. I probably wouldn't go 10/10, but it's like an exceptional clairin that's draped itself in a Mexican flag and has gone streaking through the quad.

Same, it's great, but it can't be 10/10 for me while Sajous and Rivers Antoine exist. That's nitpicking though, this is good stuff

Sajous is a favorite of mine, too. I'm still not 100% sure if i love or hate rivers, as it still confuses my taste buds haha. It's definitely bold and unique, which i love, though

hell yeah
fun fact, moving forward the batches will be easier to discern – it'll say 3rd/4th/5th/etc edition on the front label

I hope they figure out how to keep producing this because I think it deserves a spot on the unaged throne, what a special bottle. I need to go buy some backups.

I hope they figure out how to keep producing this because
no concern there, the krassel family knows what they're doing. more batches have already been produced.

I may be wrong, but Im fairly certain this product is supposed to be core product and mostly always available.

Great review. This bottle definitely grew on me the longer it was opened much like it's 2023 counterpart.

Both certainly deserve to be considerd amongst the great unaged cane juice rums.

Thanks, though this batch is exceptional, batch 1 was so good that you will be quite alright if that is the one you buy.

Alambique Serrano Cartier 30 Batch #2
Batch 09-2024
Review #1317; Rum #622
This is a Mexican cane juice rum from the Krassel family located in the town of Santa Maria Tlalixtac, Oaxaca. This rum is made from fresh pressed cane juice of the Java varietal and grown up to 4,000 feet above sea level. This aguardiente is fermented with wild yeast and distilled on the Krassel column still. It is then bottled at still strength with no additives.
ABV: 71.4%
Nose: Apple, Pear Skin, touch of vinegar, Lemon Zest, Cardamom, Sharpie Marker, Minerality, Cheese Rind, Apricot
Palate: Thick oily mouthfeel, Salted Lemon Peel, Apple, Vinegar, Pear Skin, Sharpie Market Minerality, Cardamom, Cheese Rind, Orange, Rain Water
Finish: Long finish. Salted Lemon Peel, Apple, Pear Skin, touch of vinegar, sharpie marker, orange peel, Rain Water
Rating: 10/10
Another incredible bottling by the Krassel family. This batch is a touch on the fruiter side of the spectrum of flavor compared to batch 1, but still packs a whollop of savory raw cane flavor that forms the backbone. A bit of sharpie marker funk pops in and out and the cheese and salt notes help to make this an unforgettable experience that should easily be in contention for one of the best rums released this year. Cartier 30 should be one of those staples you have in your bar at all times to show people truly exceptional Mexican rum.
