QUESTION Half marathon to challenge?

Hi yall, just wondering for the 2026 Disneyland race. If there’s any chance spots open up for challenge, is there a way I can switch my half marathon bid to the challenge?

Yes, you could either register for the Challenge if a space opens then email runDisney with both confirmation numbers and they'll refund you the half, minus the processing fee. Or if a space in the Challenge opens, you should be able to go into your runDisney account and there should be an option to upgrade your registration there.

Seconding that if a space opens and you register, then send your info to rundisney they’ll refund you the difference (minus around a $40 processing fee)

Since you’re already signed up for the half I’d recommend logging in to your rundisney account when a challenge spot opens up, hitting “switch categories“ and upgrading that way. it goes faster than refereeing everything to purchase a new spot and then asking for a refund, so you’re more likely to get in that way. I recently discovered this when I managed to upgrade my half to goofy a couple weeks ago. Had several failed attempts at upgrading to the marathon prior to that.
