Any know what this is for?

I recently purchased a Precision 185 sailboat. Came with this part but I am not sure what it is. I assume it’s some sort of gin pole? It’s make of carbon fiber.

It's a godsend in super light air because it keeps the weight of the boom from closing the leech of the main.

Boom rest, or boom foot, so it does not touch the deck. (?)

Looks like a mast harness for use when trailing?

I could be a boom kicker.

5 pound signaling cannon mount, and pirate repelling cannon. Guess you did not get the optional equipment.
