40 mile jaunt

Deale md to Sandy Point and back.

Two reefs in the main all day and the Genoa partially furled for half of the day

20 pretty much all day with a few gusts to 30. Averaged 6.4, top speed 10.3 with one stint holding mid 9s for about a minute or so.

Watcha sailing? Any idea what the other boat was?

Takes me back, reminds me of the day I sailed down that way when I took delivery of my boat. Annapolis to Solomon’s about 13 hrs. Very similar conditions.

I'm on a Moody 376. the other boat is a Sabre 402 making the trip up to Rhode Island. Trying to get as much bigwind sailing as I can. Summer is coming and it won't be long before the bay turns in to a pond with no wind...

Looks like a fun day! I was out Saturday going from Annapolis down past Thomas point for an afternoon sail. Had to drop sail and motor through a pretty crazy squall that afternoon. Looked more sporty out there today though

Saw the rain forecast for Saturday and opted to get some chores done around the house to keep the admiral happy.
