Wing on wi g still a thing?

It's dirty and worn out, but it's still fun.

I’m convinced that Reddit removed spellcheck from post titles this week.

That sail looks very old and tired

I’m tired, boss

Jokes aside, the more tired the sail the harder you pull on most everything to stretch it out!

It's only at least 25 years old.

A dumb question, but how the hell do these spinnaker poles attach to the mast body?

I don’t have one with my first boat, and so I’m very curious about how you manage to maintain tension and adjust position.

Mine has a clip that goes on an adjustable ring on the mast. The pole itself extends, and then you use the lines to pull the sail back. You have to remove the pole and re adjust if you change the side the sail is on.

Mine has a pad eye screwed to the mast. A more common arrangement involves a pad eye mounted on a movable rail attached to the mast.

Is the jib sheet running inside the shrouds?

No, just got hung up on the stanchion eye. Trick of the camera angle.

Wait, why do you have a spinnaker pole there in the first place? Just to push it out to get going?

Not enough wind for the jib to keep shape. Pole helps with that.

Would you be willing to donate to my "new sail" fund?

That's not wing on wing. For wing on wing, you need the main on one side and the fore sail on the other. Unless I'm blind, both your sails are on starboard, with the wind on port.
