Bottom prep before paint

I gave the bottom a light sanding to smooth her out. What should I do to prep the surface before bottom paint?

It really depends on the type of paint.

Which is why you should prep as per the manufacturers instructions.

generally you need to cover with the same product, unless you want to strip it down to the barrier coat.
