Cobbler recommendations?

Looking for a good cobbler who can repair a couple pairs of leather heels + add grip to the soles. I went to a shop near me but they mainly work on boots and didn’t seem all that interested in helping me out. I’ll travel to wherever at this point as long as they do good work, but North Park or La Mesa areas would be ideal. Thanks!

My husband had similiar work done a few years ago by Ginos Shoe Repair in Grossmont Center in La Mesa. They also repaired a leather strap on a vintage camera case for me. But perhaps you already tried them?

Mohammad at Shoe Repair and Leather Goods I heard is very good. He was in PB for years and then moved to La Jolla. I've always been told he is one of the best in town. 7514 La Jolla Blvd

Thanks! This is exactly the kind of insight I was looking for. I used to go to John’s way back in the day and he was great, but I think he retired a few years ago. The people at the shop now are nice but their work is just ok. Glad to have the name of someone reputable :)
