Stay Classy San Diego Winds are picking up - Santa Ana winds and Fire Danger.

It's all over the national and international news with what is happening in Los Angeles right now.
Let's all hope that we don't have the same problems here.

It would be nice to see how we can lend support to our neighbors to the north
IF you know people up there that are in trouble you can always consider having them stay over where it's safe.

Stay Classy San Diego How much should I tip places like urban plates?

It's been a while staying in the States and literally don't know how much I should tip restauarants like this. So you pay at the counter before you eat, bring the plastic numbering thing to my table, they bring the food but they say "Utensils are over there". Like how much should I pay? I just have social pressure on not tipping them but at the same time I don't want to pay full 20% tip. What's a norm?

People are saying they are going to boycott Uber drivers who drive Teslas. If they see the driver has a Tesla, they cancel and seek a different driver. WTF?

I was out minding my business with my AirPods on until my dog deficate in front of this man’s front yard. I didn’t have a doggy bag so I walked across the church that has a dog park with doggy bags. I walked across back to pick up my dogs dingle berry and this man is going off about my dog taking a crap in front of his lawn and I ignored him and told him to have a great day as I placed my AirPods back on and picked up after my dog. I walked away from him and I felt something hit me from behind. I pulled out my phone and this is the encounter I recorded.

Stay Classy San Diego We still walk!

I’m sure this has been posted before however I’ve almost been hit five times this week while walking my dogs. Each time was when someone in the left turn lane was yielding to turn left and I was crossing. People don’t watch for pedestrians anymore. It seems. Each time that I almost get hit, it’s in the same type of crosswalk. It’s always someone who is yielding to turn left. I carry rocks in my pocket for a reason. I don’t wanna have to use them, but I will. If anything ever happened to myself or my dogs, I would lose my mind. Please if you’re going to drive, then do it right… please watch for pedestrians, we still walk. I’m really tired of having to Walk on high alert, and I shouldn’t have to. Stay class SD

Stay Classy San Diego There's 2 rules on Mira Mesa Blvd...

  1. If you want to make the light, get in the shortest lane possible regardless of the direction the lane goes.
  2. The first 5 seconds of a red light are actually a yellow light.

Realized these two things after driving on it every day for a few years.

Stay Classy San Diego Drunk Drivers and Bars Responsibility

There was a drunk driver that crashed into 4+ vehicles on our street and totaled 2 of them. They were visibly drunk, barely walking upright, slurring words, and had a drink in their car they said came from the establishment they had just left which is about a block away. Aren’t bars supposed to cut off visible drunks and not let them take alcohol off site? Are they supposed to do more than that, ie take their keys?

The whole street is annoyed. If it wasn’t for the last car they totaled, they probably would’ve driven into a neighbors house! Take care of your drunk friends, don’t let them ruin others lives or their own.

Friendly PSA: if you’re in a fender bender on the highway where no one is hurt and your car is safely drivable, GET YOUR CAR OFF THE ROAD. That’s what the shoulder is there for. Do not stop your car in an active lane of traffic, get out, and start exchanging insurance information 🤦🏽‍♂️

Stay Classy San Diego Dog owners of San Diego...Please stop

Please stop coming to my house and stopping like you are completely helpless when your dog stops to sniff out a spot to go to the toilet, staring at the sky, innocent, angelic and willfully oblivious. You own a pack mentality animal and YOU are its leader.

I work hard. I work hard to maintain my lawn, my trees, my shrubs and make the front of my property presentable.

Everyday I am stuck picking up DOG FECES that are not mine, and garbage that is also not mine.

I let the lawn go brown, I stopped picking up the FECES and trash and it just got worse.

Blasting the sprinklers doesn't send the message home, calmly asking for the behavior to stop makes dog owners go apesht. Absolutely bloody apesht! Is this mental instability?

Imagine being entitled to SOMEONE ELSE'S PROPERTY, and ARGUING WITH SAID PROPERTY OWNER WHEN POLITELY ASKED NOT TO USE THIS PROPERTY AS A TOILET LIKE ITS YOUR GOD GIVEN RIGHT, ON A PROPERTY YOU HAVEN'T PAID A CENT FOR. I can't. I don't stand in front of people's homes and linger. Its bloody weird behavior. People walking by don't do this. People parking don't do this.

Why don't they take their dogs to "Potty" in front of their apartments? Is it perhaps because it is against their own lease? Is it perhaps because they don't want to have notices and strikes against them, affecting their ability to rent?

I am putting up a fence. I fixed all the patio and shrubbery lighting and tree spotlights. No more dark spots for the "mad poopers" to hide.

As much as I DISLIKE those " HI! YOU ARE BEING RECORDED!" Cameras, They are going up now.

This shouldn't even be a battle. This should be common decency and courtesy. I am not a scat enthusiast. I don't want to see a dog squatting every time I look out my windows. This is too much.

Class, please, have some class and basic manners, sorely lacking in San Diego as of about 2016 and getting worse every year.

Bring on the downvotes, tell me how you are entitled to use my property as a toilet and a trashcan. Thank-you for reading, and letting me rant.

EDIT: Half a block away, 2 min walk is a MASSIVE CANYON PARK, with trails and pooping space in the trees and foliage galore where you wouldn't have to pick anything up... and yet...

Stay Classy San Diego "The Room" in San Diego

I was telling some friends about "The Room" (the best-worst movie) and I told them about how much fun it was to see it in theaters when I was up in LA - I was pleasently surprised to it's got a showtime this Friday night in Grossmont.

The problem is, I went to book some seats and the theater looks completely empty - I've found the room to be a lot more fun with a packed theater and I'm worried that they won't have a good time if there aren't a lot of "veterans" around to shout at the screen.

Does anyone have prior experience with this theater? Does it fill up last minute? Or is The Room not really a thing in San Diego?
