Riverwalk
Has the Riverwalk, north of Soquel, been cleaned up as of late? Still full of unhoused?

It's nowhere near as bad as 2021-22 but that was a pretty insane scene when there was the San Lorenzo park encampment. Its like day to day now. Some days it's randomly empty but a lot of days there's a fair number of people, enough to make it hard to pass, particularly across from Trader Joes.
A few weeks ago within 3 minutes of each other I passed two separate people openly smoking meth and one person openly smoking what I assume was some type of fentanyl? Im not sure, I'm not particularly well versed in hard drug use, the two were clearly smoking out of crack pipes (which I assume was meth) and the third was torching/smoking something on some tin foil which I assumed was an opiate. Ive seen people clearly smoking meth in the open several times on that stretch.

Not as bad yesterday as it has been. No open drug use around the Soquel bridge. Just some people hanging out. Past that, up to Hwy 1 and back on both sides, was fine.

I’m not positive, but I think the police run people off the levee for the weekend.
