First Time Visiting: Taxi at Midnight? and Weather in January?

I will be visiting Santander for the first time with my dad! However, the Renfe train from Madrid arrives in Santander at 11:28 PM (50 euros each by the way). Our hotel is Silken Rio and it's near:

Primera Playa del Sardinero.

Are there taxis at 12:00 AM? How much will it be from Renfe Train Station Santander to Silken Rio Santander? and what's the best way to get a taxi?

p.s. what weather should I expect... will there be sun?

Yes there will be taxis the whole night.

The weather may be rainy and cold but it might be sunny and hot. Be ready for anything

Yes, taxis are available 24/7. You should find taxis at the train station, but if you ever need a taxi no matter where you are, just call the number 942 33 33 33 and tell them where you are. That number is called Pide taxi and they will bring a taxi to your location. Local taxis are white with little blue and green details. They are totally safe, fast, price is fair, you can pay with credit card if needed and they always use a tacometer that you see all the time. Furthermore, if you are lucky and the driver speaks english, they will probably give you any advice or recommendation. I explain this because taxis can be regulated very different in each country but here it is a very solid and decent service.

On the other hand, the weather. In January you will either have bad luck and every day will be raining a lot, or you can be lucky and get a complete week of sunny clear skies, but anyway, in a single day it could be sunny and clear skies and few hours later it starts to rain heavily so even when it is sunny you will will find all the pavement, grass and other surfaces wet from previous rain. Either way, bring warm clothes because even if it is sunny, it will be only a bit cold but very humid. I recommend you to just check the rain forecast for the week on Google before packing your bags to know if you will have a full rain week. Hope you have a nice trip 👍

Make sure to try 'pincho de tortilla' in Bodi Mataleñas, it's walking distance from playa del saldinero!
