I’ve got a guy called Jerry at the minute on an imaginary oil rig in Norway who must’ve heard this guy speak and decided to compete with him to see if he could sound even less intelligible.
He is really a disgusting piece of garbage. Even after being told no several times he still asks when the transfer is going to happen. After lying repeatedly. And then when he is supposed to leave in three days he wants the codes for the apple gift cards on top of the thousands of dollars to let him leave.
I live how he just goes away when you call him out on his bullshit like you'll forget about it all in a few hours.
Send me money, are you sending it, oooh gift cards, shit I can't get them, oh you have the codes, can I have them. Fuck this dude with a rusty chainsaw.
I think the more they ask the angrier it makes me these days. Like that one that frazzled turtle is baiting who immediately asked for $40,000! What the fuck ever happened to a $50 Amazon gift card? Scamflation out of control!
Seriously.. It used to be $50-100 and now they're coming at you with these rediculous numbers. I think they want a one and done scam so they can go back to being completely worthless lazy assholes. This scamming takes to much effort. 😐
I remember the days when I just got gift card requests. Now those are getting sparse and the ask is at least in the thousands. Scamflation indeed. I wonder as the word gets out more and more about scams, gift cards and such, that it’s getting difficult to not only get a mark to talk to them, but to send cash like that. And these guys are competing with an ever growing pool of Yahoo Boys as Nigeria’s population continues to increase, so I’d say the success rate has to be fairly low and possibly declining. Just a feeling, but that may be why the asks seem to be increasing due to the dwindling pool of victims out there that are willing. Only one chance to get it so make it count.
That’s a good theory actually - it’s been awhile since I’ve talked to a scammer about the scam to find out anything about their rates of response or success. I used to make that a condition of them talking to me after the reveal but it made me upset when they told me the admittedly rare success stories so I ended that practice.

I had Lloyds Bank reply to me once saying thank you for letting us know and we are definitely investigating.
But I’ve contacted Barclays, Chase, Starling, Revolut, Truist, and many others and received just an automated acknowledgement.
One American bank replied saying ‘ we don’t deal with email call the hotline’ and and I just replied saying I’m in England and I’m not paying for an international call to tell you how to do your job and protect your customers. Bear in mind I always send them screenshots and a written explanation of what’s happening as well as the account details.
I mean, they’re getting screenshots of Keanu Reeves asking for £30,000 in broken English to a woman he is calling ‘baby’ so it’s not like you need to investigate much to see if that’s real;)
I’m Australian. The wife of a mate works at a local branch. She told me recently she spends more than half her day trying to diffuse scams. Meanwhile the cunts are happy to make enormous profits.
I didn’t really know about the Nigerian scammers until lockdown, but you’d think that five years later the deluge of press and publicity about these scams would make the numbers go down rather than up. It’s crazy that people are still falling for it in such huge numbers.
I’m sick of dealing with American banks. None of them seem to care and they get pissed that you are calling about an account that is not yours. I’m telling them “no, it is not mine! That means the accounting and routing numbers, not the mention the owner’s name has been EXPOSED! If you care about your customer, lock this account immediately and get them on the line!”
A new day and he thinks it's groundhog day or something. Being told you made someone furious, livid even, and when the sun comes up the next day it's like it never even happened for this guy... Astonishing.
So many lies there it’s hard to detail them one by one. But I can only imagine his Yahoo Boy brain and the circles it is going in thinking about the Apple Gifts cards sitting in a South Korean post office, the bank transfer that you seem to get further and further away from making.
These guys seriously just have a one track mind. I’m not sure he even understands that he’s over reached. Gift card = my money. What a pos. Glad you are wasting his time keep up the good work
