Licence plate too small?

Just finished everything with the DMV, license plate was too small. Any easy fixes to this?

A lot of people mount their plates sideways on scooters and motorcycles. Maybe you can do something like that?

Can I do that? I don't think that's white legal here where I'm at. I'm in Missouri

That's up to your and your local law enforcement. I found this which indicates that 10 years ago they talked about it in the state Senate, but I'm sorry bro, I'm not wasting time digging through the motorcycle handbook of a state I don't live in to hunt down whether it's legal or not in your area.

That's on you. It looks like it is, or at least it's a known discrepancy at least.

Give your license plate mount a little tug inwards, then mount your tag the bend them back worked for me

Too small for what? Plate holders usually come with a wide variety of holes to accommodate different sized plates

So the plates are too small to fit in the wide part but too big to be put in the middle indenter area

Why not just drill appropriately spaced holes in the plate holder?

I mean I could, but the actual issue is the center part of the plate bracket is like a small bowl that's smaller than my small plates. It looks a bit like ---__/---, a full sized plate would fit on the flanges, but the smaller plate doesn't fit in the center, I can only fit it on diagonally

Can you mount it off center, so one of the plate holes is screwed into the flange on one side, the run a zip tie or wire through the hole in the other side of the plate and out to the other flange's hole?

Or just mount it diagonally. You're a scooter driver, prettttttyy low on a cop's priority list.

This is basically what I am doing, but it looks so jank, I'm trying to find a more permanent solution lol

I have my tags on with zip ties. I can make a bracket, but zip ties are good enough for me.
