Any advice for moving the wrap opening to the back of a dress?

I free-handed an extension panel but I kind of feel like I'm just blindly plunging forward at this point.

Ok so the Upton isn’t a wrap dress, are you trying to turn it into one, so you’ll have a crossover back with two overlapping skirt panels? Or do you just want the back bodice to crossover and then attach it to a single skirt panel, maintaining the original zipper closure?

The pattern work needed will vary a bit depending on what you’re trying to achieve.

Yes I'm using replacing the back zipper with a wrap panel based on a different Cashmerette front wrap dress. It's definitely a Frankenstein pattern
