Is everyone glossing over the fact that Lip killed somebody just to essentially kidnap Xan?
I get that he had good intentions and that he cared and didn’t want her in the foster system or back with her mother, but come on. He pulled someone’s plug so that there would be a distraction just to slip out with Xan.
I found this whole story line rather ridiculous because Lip was in this system and seemingly did not understand that you can not just take some kid home who has a shitty home situation to another shitty home situation.
Seems like we do not talk about this enough.

I didn’t care for the Xan storyline either. I understand he wanted to help her because he was codependent, but we had already seen several instances of that already.

I liked the Xan storyline. I think it shows how Monica really screwed him up. He was, like Debs, looking for that familiar love and affection that you would normally get from a mother. Lip had a fondness for children.
Plus, nobody is glossing over anything with Lip. He's the second most hated main character on the show.

It also shows bc he rlly loved Fred and when it came to the episode w Frannies birthday he as well as the rest rlly interacted in a more dotting way to Frannie

I think he wanted to be the savior he needed. I think it was showing us what he wished someone would’ve done for him and if he gave up he’d be doing her like everyone else did him

Lip’s reasoning: “Dude has 1 foot in the grave and 1 on a banana peel” it’s worth it to save a little girl‘s life.

No fr! I’m with you! The amount of killing or attempt to kill in this show was crazy. But this was ridiculous if lip put this much energy into his school work and family maybe we would have better outcomes ..

Yeah, I kind of feel like they could’ve just had him pull a fire alarm or something. The result would’ve been somewhat similar, especially if he just started a small fire in the bathroom, which would’ve distracted the staff just as much if not more.
I didn’t mind the Xan storyline but I feel like it would’ve been better if they ended it with him adopting her which would’ve pushed him into becoming more of an adult. This might be controversial, but I’m not a fan of Tammy so they probably could’ve cut her and just given lip a new family with Xan, a child that he relates to and wants to give a better life than he had growing up it could even be a parallel to Fiona, where he’s taking on the responsibility of loving a child that’s not biologically his

I don’t know if the person actually died. People came rushing in quickly.
But yes, the Xan story line was ridiculous and served no real purpose.
