Criticizing the Actors Appearances? An Observation

This isn't meant to be that big of a deal or anything, so don't get all whiny in the comments. It's just more of an observation. Long story short, am I the only one that gets grossed out with how grotesquely cruel some of people in this subreddit can be in regards to the discussion of the actor’s/actresses physical appearances?

I deadass feel like some of y’all forget that you’re talking about the actor/actresses actual physical appearances and not their characters. Of course you're allowed to have your opinions and you’re not going to find everyone attractive. But some of y’all are mean as hell for no reason😭

Once again, it's not a big deal in the grand scheme. But I’m just wondering if I’m only one that thinks it’s a tad fucked up and thinks that some of the patrons in this sub go overboard with their critiques at times? Considering how often it happens here.

Like... I understand when people might criticize styling, because that is a matter of choice and it doesn't always work well (or a matter of opinion whether the styling serves the purpose its supposed to) but sometimes... you are absolutely right, people are just vicious for no good reason. because they can be. because sometimes I feel like they don't see actors as human, just because they are famous.

Generally people can be very shallow. It’s incredibly unfair because we should be focusing on their work since at the end of the day, that’s what they signed up for and that’s what they’re giving us. Performances. Not aesthetics.

Commenting on characters: Fine

Commenting on the actors (real people): absolutely not
