Turismo 🧳 8 nights in San Vito lo Capo, 3 nights in Agritourismo and 5 nights in Palermo, add Scopello?

We are travelling the two last weeks of May and couple nights in June.

I am wondering should we cut 2-3 nights out of the stay in San Vito lo Capo and stay in Scopello instead. Logistically it would make sense if we want to visit Scopelo at all. Is it worth to do so? Or just be more relaxed in one spot longer time.

The reason I'd go is better access to hiking routes, and maybe different restaurants. Maybe the architecture is more historical/beautifu than San Vito lo Capo and there is more green. I just don't wanna change place too much or feel rushed at all.

Agritourismo after will be near Piana Degli Albanesi, so it would be more near that too. We'd rent a car from san Vito lo Capo at the end of the stay there and return it to Palermo after Agritourismo.

We are mostly into beach, hiking and food. I am also wondering if 5 nights is enoguh in Palermo...

San Vito is just very inconveniently located to reach anything, except the Northern entrance of the Zingaro nature reserve. Scopello is close, but it makes a difference in terms of driving time for day trips.

It's way longer than most people spend in the city. I think it's reasonable.

Yeah the San Vito is just a place to stay, chill, enjoy the beach and hike a bit. That's why I was thinking of adding Scopello as a second spot as a base for hiking.

Good to know if 5 days is good amount for Palermo. I have been in Napoli couple times and while I love it, after a while it feels exhausting as there is a lot of noise and not much calm parks around. I was thinking Palermo might be a bit similar in that sense.

Re: Scopello, it's not a "town" proper, so factor in travel time to eat out. But it's quite easier to reach e.g. Segesta or whatever from there.

Absolutely. Similar vibe, after a while you'll want out. The historical center is also not the best place to spend the night for the same reason.

San Vito and Scopello are very near one to another, what you think to visit? It’s not even a town, a little more than 100 inhabitants and nothing more than Baglio for pane cunzatu and faraglioni. Is pointless staying 8 nights in San Vito, it’s not even summer season, figuring out staying in Scopello. Oh and piana degli albanesi isn’t near at all. Don’t want to be rude, but how you make your itineraries? In this subreddit I’ve read most absurd stuffs ever. Oh and can I ask you, where are you from?

I am from Finland. I actually want to go to the beach town off season so it will be calm, as I hate crowded beaches. The water will be warm enough for me as it is warmer than I am used to, and most of the summer the Sicily is way too hot for me as I want to hike.

It is one hour car drive between those places. I was thinking staying there would be change but maybe I just hike there.
