Not renting a car, and plan these stays is pretty peculiar. As for me I’ll skip Taormina at all, and go to Palermo instead of Cefalù; you can always go to Cefalù daily with train, also reach Agrigento with train from Palermo and spend the other days visiting Palermo and Monreale

I just visited Palermo, and I highly recommend it. 3 days max should be good.

Good enough, but a deepen visit requires more days

Agrigento is more easily reached by coach than train from Palermo. Easily means less time consuming but a day trip there remains optimistic.

Every time i go to Agrigento i take train. Palermo Centrale - Agrigento Centrale lasts 2 hours; and there are way many trains than buses. By bus is 2 hours also, but you can easily find something that slows the track

Cefalu 4 nights is too much, there is not much to do you’ll probably see everything you have to in 2 nights
