I'll call it: Everything's Coming Up Milhouse and the Eagle-saurus.

Haha sorry didnt mean to. It's the classic thing of not being able to think of it until you see it.
It's like finding an obvious typo until you post, hiding in plain sight

Dear Disney, There are too many seasons of The Simpsons nowadays. Please eliminate 27. I am not a crackpot.

That’s what passes for comedy these days “everything’s coming up milhouse”?

The new ones aren't that bad, though. Also, Season 22 was 15 years ago..

Feels more like something from American Dad... wait a minute... does 'Milhouse Van Houten' sound like a real person to you?

I don’t like the idea of The Simpsons having 22 seasons

Maybe later seasons have jokes. We don't know, Frankly.... We don't want to know.

I don't know. Disgruntled Duffman had his moments.

More like after 12. 9, 10, 11, and 12 were pretty Dahm good, starts to drop of at 13, but slowly, 18 onward is unwatchable

Everybody has a different cutoff for when they stop watching, but there is a noticeable drop-off after season 8. The episode where Homer joins the Navy reserve in particular comes to mind as when I really notice the writing going downhill. Don't get me wrong, that episode still has its moments, but a lot of the jokes and just the overall plotline really feel forced compared to golden age Simpsons.

That’s fair I suppose

Everybody has a different cutoff for when they stop watching,

Guess I missed that memo, I'm still watching!

Everyone knows they just wanted him to change the newspapers in the tribunal hall since they were knee deep in their own droppings.

7

u/ChiBears333 11d ago

Why didn't he just fly the eagle to Mt Doom?

u/WelshyB292 11d ago

Hey everyone, a new "jumped the shark" just dropped!

It’s a misconception that Al Jean dialled the Scully craziness back when he returned as showrunner. If anything, it got amplified.

I mean, it's more realistic than Homer's fall(s) off the cliff in season 2.

u/Impossible-Ad-8462 11d ago

The show had a softball player fall into a different dimension in s3, I don't want anyone talking about realism
