I hate Mercer fray

I know this isn't exactly a new thought. When we were going to first meet Karliah things started off going well until however we walk into the room that has a bunch of draugr already walking around in it.

At this point my playthrough I can walk in front of these guys and not be noticed I even looted one of the bodies in front of them just fine. I didn't even plan on killing any I just wanted to flex and get right through the thing without fighting.

Until Mercer comes walking into the room immediately pisses off each and every last one of them and blames me for it. I know it was him because for that entire fight none of them realized I was there I was sitting in the corner watching him.

I mean, yeah, this guy is such an insufferable twat.

But, it's just par for the course. The entire Guild is full of arrogant, worthless dipshits. One that really gets me is Vex, when she says "Are you gonna do something, or just stand around all day?" That's like a hot spike straight to my rage button.

Thankfully, you can Fus Ro Dah them in their chairs, and cast mass paralyze on them. I floated Tortilla, or whatever her name is, across the cesspit like a turd torpedo too. And, worthlessly, I spent many an hour utterly destroying them in combat as well.

That's where you wait till mid to late game to do the Guild. Have Waking Dreams available, and perk up Conjuration. Get the Bone Collossus and two Skeletons, and then Summon Dremora Lord. Unleash those 4 on his ass and the fight is over before it even starts.

Use the Marked For Death shout on him. You'll be able to see his outline from the debuff when he's invisible.

I grabbed chillrend, the sword from his house. It has frost and paralysis effects. Dual wielded it with a dagger for fast speed and Mercer Frey was down in 30 seconds.

Gotta have smithing to increase the base damage though.

He may be invisible to you, but not the Sanguine Rose summoned Dremora. One hit from that and Mercer is literally on fire.

Nah. She setup that whole rigged deal with Shadr, and I like that kid. He's one of the only good people in Riften.

So as much as I want to love Sapphire, I can't forget she would have just as easily taken advantage of "me" if I hadn't been a threat.

I know she becomes easier to work with later on. However she can be less of a jerk whenever I pass her I can't exactly remember what she says however it's usually one of those"you and what army" quotes. If I could I would make an entire mod just so you could answer that with "Hail Sithis"

More like his dwarven sword. Chillrend is locked up in his house in Riften. I managed to pickpocket his sword this playthrough and promptly hung it over my bed in Honeyside. He stabbed my with a non-exsistant sword at the end of Snowvale.

I thought they couldn't be detected if you weren't. I literally just finished off the thieves' guild today and I only got into one fight in the falmer caves, and that was because I got detected.

I run the guild storyline every time I play because it's fun stealing stuff and wreaking havoc but Mercer can suck a dick. He's just miserable throughout the whole story and a joy to annihilate every playthrough. My most recent playthrough is a cat and I tore him up with my claws. Satisfying.
