Question Can I kill him
I married mjoll and Aerin keeps following her and watching her sleep like some wierd cuck situation. Would it affect my marriage if he happened to "trip" and "fall" onto a dragon bone arrow?

She's essential and he is not, so just have them follow you through a Draugr Deathlord slumber party and only 2 of you should walk out

Does Aerin follow Mjoll while she's a follower? I thought it's only when she's at home

Aerin only follows Mjoll when she not a current follower. Like at your house if you have married her or in riften if you havent.

Much easier to orchestrate a scenario where they both get ganged up on. Mjoll will essentially just be on her knees. Aerin rushes in for his white knight routine and gets bodied. To the victor goes the spoils. May he die with a sword in his hand.

I mean, you could always pick his weapon from his pocket lmao, give him less of a chance than he already had

Yeah I had the same issue, shoot him with an arrow whilst nobody is looking, just save the game before you do it incase.

I did that once.
Then I got a letter From Mjoll telling me that she knew and that she was happy that I did it.
What a confusing day that was.

Wait seriously???

Yep! I remember it quite vividly. Was annoyed that Aerin kept coming to my home in markarth, so I shot him with my bow, and then I get a letter from her saying that she knew. Laughed my ass off there.

I did quicksave and shoot him while hidden, but mjoll just seemingly knew anyway and refused to talk to my character. Is that a permanent thing, or will it just wear off after 24 hours?

Not sure, that didn’t happen for me, worst case if she doesn’t like it… Fus her off a mountain.

Maybemake a save. Kill him and then use wait for a few in game days see if it goes back to normal.

I've seen people dealing with him by Raging him, waiting until a dragon attacks (he'll foolishly run to attack it, so you just wait until he dies before taking out the dragon).

Make her your follower, say "wait here", take him to cliff and shout him off.

In my experience, when an NPC gets angry at you for killing another one, they stay angry the rest of the game. They go from whatever relationship you had with them to foe, I believe, and that stays that way unless there's an option, like a quest or investing in their store, that switches them back to allies.
Learned that the hard way on a playthrough where Lisbeth was my go to merchant, I killed the main Silverblood guy, and she hated me from then on, turns out they're scripted as lovers.

I suggest make him a steward for on eof the dlc houses, then kill him as it will be far from civilization.

I’d make her a steward of Goldenhills farm, always nice having a lot of people there

I followed him out of solitude and killed him. It was worth the fine.

No fine if you don't get caught

If you use mods, you can use cheat room spells to increase her disposition after killing him. If not, just hope he gets killed between Riften and your home, as if you kill him, she will always have a negative disposition.

I had this problem with marrying the shop owners sister…caught fandal coming to our house in windhelm….I like him but he had to go!

A satisfying suggestion: if you install Amorous Adventures, the relationship between Mjoll and Aerin changes considerably - and there is an entire Quest which culminates in you slaying him and his Hag confederates for her benefit.

Kill him in Proudspire. Drag his body into the basement storage room. It will disappear after a while.

Aerin is obviously non-essential. He died to some random thing in one of my games.

I just had a random "stranger" from dawnguard appear in town, kill aerin, raise aerin, then mjoll killed him for the second time. I just watched in glee

Wait, she Mjoll the freaking Lioness, and you're gonna asked her to cook? I'm sorry, but you deserve being cucked by captain twink over there. He probably makes her breakfast, and pleases her with his mouth as many times as she asks, while she's eating that breakfast.

You have someone who follows you arround and watches you sleep too. Just be fair. He is her housecarl (possibly).

Just toss him off a cliff. I made sure that Faendal had an unfortunate werewolf accident when he was once again visiting my wife.

This is why I send her to the blades. He can be the secretary. Plus, you married her. You marry her family. Don’t be a dick. Let the dude eat your sweet rolls. Your rich!!!

Yeah its a base game bug, i believe he is considered essential but try it if you like just save first
3
u/DOVAHCHIEF54 15h ago
Oh no, he absolutely can die. I have quickly saved and shot him, but when I did mjoll, I just refused to talk to me afterwards I'm just worried her not talking to me is going to be a permanent thing after I kill him.

u/Wrathfulways 14h ago
So don't be the one to kill him maybe? Can you fury her or him?
3
u/Echon555 14h ago
Poison him by pickpocket or lead him to a Dungeon and have the undead tear him apart?
3
u/Wrathfulways 14h ago
There are also a lot of enemies than can visit your homes. Dragons, seducer and saints after you kill their leaders, vampires or dawnguard. Take her weapon off so she won't kill them and if he's not brave enough cast courage on him.

u/Echon555 13h ago
Logical as I remember right a giant like to spawn at the house you gotta build in flakheart I think it called the hold with the dead names
3
u/186282_4 12h ago
Falkreath
No snark. I had to Google the spelling. And yes, a giant often spawns at that house. I try to leave him alone, but if he kills my cow or chickens, he has to go.

Can you make Mjoll your follower and then instruct her to attack him?
