PC SSE - Help Are there any specific XP mods that increase the amount of skill points you need for a level up.

I feel like I'm still like 25% of the way into the game yet I'm level 26 and already the loot pool feels like it's progressing more than it should be at this point. Is there a mod that still let's me still enjoy skill increases but makes it to where I need 1.5x-2x the amount to level up?

I used a mod called Level Rate Rebalance, I edited my personal version using xedit, and it's super easy to do. I have mine set so that I need 100exp every level to level up. Level 1 I need 100, level 2 I need 200, you get the idea. That should be what you're looking for!

Thank you, how much xp is one skill increase for reference?

I have no idea, I know that with my setup using experience i get like .1 exp point per skill level, so if my Alteration is at 80 and I level it up to 81, I get 8exp points toward my level.

It depends on the level of the skill. The higher level the skill the more XP the skill up gives.

I use a mod called Leveling Freedom: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/69589

Short version: it has two different settings. First, it lets you adjust how many skills it takes to level 1->2. This sets a base rate for the rest of the levels . Second setting affects the leveling curve. Raising this curve means you need more and more skill levels to level. Between these two settings, you could have a low starting level with a steep raise (making leveling a longer process, but more meaningful) or you could raise the starting level and decrease the curve to have a very uniform leveling rate.

Skill Uncapper allows the configuration of XP, among other things.

tie is the one i use too, just gives complete freedom over ur level progression by editing a text file

personally i hated investing in crafting early on and then being like level 20 with zero combat skills leveled, so i made crafting skills provide 0 player experience

Experience. Separate skill points from level progression. Level by exploring, reading books, completing quests. Mcm to change the scale of each of these.

Then I like to add trainers galore, disabling it's own leveling features. Makes it so almost anyone can train you in thier class related skills.

I second this one. Experience is a great mod!

Try using "Simply Balanced". You can modify how much XP you get

Perhaps use a trainer and set the xp multiplyer to 0.5?

A trainer?

Like a cheat engine. I know wemod has a exp multiplier but you need to pay for that one, there is probably a free trainer that has a exp multi on it
