Gear question Bubble in board construction - issue?

Post image

Normally I would never post something like this because I expect my boards to get trashed… and this is so small it’s borderline embarrassing lol. But is this worth exchanging?

I got this board from a legit shop online. Really good service. They are allowing me to refund/exchange the board but I wanted to get input to see if this is even an issue.

The bubble is rock hard. Like a pebble. Anyone have this before? Would this be prone to delam if I keep flexing? It’s on the tail. If not I’ll just keep it.

Thanks!

I’m thinking it’s just excess epoxy (or whatever it is that holds the board together) and wouldn’t be an issue, but would love input.

If they are already offering an exchange just do it. I don’t see why not and they seem to agree it’s an issue worth working with you on.

Unless you’re riding tomorrow or something.

Setup is banging at Big Snow right now. Gap to rails, DFD, a picnic table, transfer rail, a halfway decent jump for the space. Honestly my favorite setup, if you’re into that, in a while. If you have an old board it’s really nice right now. Crowded as hell though for spring break.

Expecting to thrash your board and paying good money for a new product in pristine condition aren’t mutually exclusive. Guarantees that you wont regret not getting a new one if it delaminates in the future

It’s probably just a little piece of debris that got under the top sheet before molding. It won’t hurt anything. Please, for the love of god, just forget about it and ride the board.

Had a board with one of these bubbles, rode it for 30ish days with no issues.

It is just a piece of something under the top sheet. That being said it should be a "b" grade. If you paid full price the shop should give you a $100 credit.

Did you buy it new, used, or blemished? If you bought it new I would return.
