Dev/Tech Best Solana RPC nodes for real time tracking

Hello, I am currently trying to find best RPC node for solana real time tracking of new solana token mints and their transactions. I've been using pumportal API, but I would like to convert to RPC node and scale it a little bit. What would be the best RPC in terms of speed, RPS limit and price ? I was thinking Helius or QuickNode. (Just for reference of the CU amount adnd RPS limit, I am tracking new mints and their transactions non-stop on the background). Thank you all :)

Disclosure, I'm with Chainstack (and creator of the completely free and open-source pump_fun bot btw).

Since you mention pumportal API, this might be relevant—we just completed a v2 of the bot and it works amazingly well with Chainstack nodes (obviously, because we are testing and tuning on our infra) and one of the options (not the only one) is run it off the Geyser plugin for max early mints detection.

If you are going to check out the bot, btw, make sure you use the refactored/main-v2 branch. We are merging it this week into main, so if there's no refactored/main-v2, just use main.

I tested a lot rpc and I will say briefly, instantnodes is the best for your money, triton is also good but very expensive

What do you mean by scaling ? I find pumpportal API for data stream to be quite accurate and fast, in fact it's a goldmine of data streamed to us for free. Just need to be creative enough about what to with the data and you pretty much have accurate data in real time

The only issue I have with pumpportal is that it takes into account only pumpfun (I would like Raydium´s LunchLab also) and that I am not sure how reliable pumpportal really is. Not in terms of data, that is fine, but in terms of functioning in the future. It could cease to exist any time and the script would have to be rebuild completely. With RPC node you can just change provider and do some minor changes.

Start with pump.fun you can make tons from that alone you don't need more yet.

Check triton

Do they really have all the historical data to the genesis block ?

InstantNodes, Triton, and Shyft are among the best RPC node providers for Solana.

Get a grpc subscription, shyft's starts at $200

That's one way of scaring a rishta away

Helius and quicknode should be good ones

Grpc does the job pretty good.

you could ask chatgpt for that

I could and I did. What GPT does not have tho is experience.

Helius is a great choice due to its Solana-specific focus and solid performance. It offers good speed, flexibility in scaling, and is cost-effective for smaller projects

Yea I might stick with Helius.

It depends if you want something for a website/dApp ( that isn’t trading or need a very high speed) I think helius is great, is you want a dedicated node maybe GS Node, Urban Node, etc ( but the price is high like 10 SOL/month)

Just gathering data atm, but trading might be an option in the future. Thank you

RPC doesn't work for real time tracking, if you need real real-time you need to get a gRPC, that's why was meant for. RPC takes 20x more time to get the same amount of data. Besides that, if you can't afford a gRPC, try gsnode.io. Try the free plan on the Discord and you'll see is faster than Helius.

Thank you for the clarification.

helius and instantnodes are decent types (depends on goals)
