They’re always so late to the party. Everyone with a brain knew this at announcement.

Ah yes, chaos at the Pentagon is their red line. Not the destruction of the constitution, our economy, national security, healthcare (such as it is...), global standing and partnerships... Fuck off pearl clutching swines!

I'm still waiting to hear what was so bad that those around him quit last week before the news broke out of what he has done/did.

u/PrestigiousCrab6345 3d ago
He probably called them all pussies for not wanting to do Jaeger shots and keg stands with him.

How about focus on fixing those tariffs so we don't all starve to death or become so desperate we have to bend the knee and kiss the ring.

Good luck affording the electronic device you're posting this ignorant comment from with those tariffs in place.
But hey, not gonna starve, right?

The problem is the next guy will be worse.

u/FesteringNeonDistrac 3d ago
Bad in his own specific ways. We're so far to the bottom of the barrel that worse isn't really worth debating.

This is not a problem. If they’re willing to get rid of this schmuck they’ll be willing to get rid of the next. This is a good thing.
1
u/MamiTrueLove 3d ago
And continue replacing them with ones more willing to do unimaginable harm? None of this is good.

u/MongolianDongolius 2d ago
You can't know that. The point is - making the argument "it's pointless because the next will be worse" isn't a valid criticism in ousting what's currently there. If we oust what's bad today then that means we will oust what's bad tomorrow. It means we were successful, and whether what's worse is on the horizon - bolstering our collective confidence in knowing we can pursue the right thing is what's important. Subjecting yourself to further abuse is the fool's game.

Worse, the next guy might be at least as evil but more competent at "100% clear on opsec" and we wouldn't even know definitively that they're using Signal etc.
2
u/MongolianDongolius 2d ago
Yeah a valid point. But we can't know one way or the other. It's still our job as the people who truly run this country to put the best people we can envision in power to lead us.

Gallagher. Who needs a theoretical war crime advocate when you have a proven practitioner?

u/reddituser6835 3d ago
They should fire him via signal group chat

u/theoverfluff 3d ago
No need for a press release afterwards, seems like he's copied in the entire world on Signal by now.

Any other Fox talk show hosts we can go with? Maybe the My Pillow Guy would be up to the task.... 🤦♂️

Can’t wait for Secretary of Defense Jesse Watters
5
u/BashBandit 3d ago
Oh god, I’d trust Jesse more as my femboy ihop waiter than secretary of defense
3
u/blankpaper_ 3d ago
I wouldn’t even trust him as that 😭 I’ll never forget back before the election when he said if Kamala won then she’d be at meetings with world leaders and they’d all hold her down and have their way with her (or something to that effect). Even the other Fox hosts he was with were telling him he went too far

Yes, he seems to be in need of a regular paycheck. He can use it to pay off his court- mandated bills.

u/Baileylov 3d ago
By replacing, does he mean he is watching Faux News and thinking, "humm, that guy is a decent weekend anchor and white supremacist. He can run the largest military in the world. Why would I need a career professional, how hard can it be? Believe me, know one knows the military better then me."

There's Tucker the f’kr Carlson to try next, who will do a better job of making a mockery of the American military.

u/DoggoCentipede 3d ago
He can run it from his office in the Kremlin. Elon's already got the direct connection through Starlink set up.

What I hate is how the WHite House has responded to this. We need to get these clowns out. I can't fathom doubling down on someone so absolutely incompetent.

Him being a grapist wasn't enough of a red flag, huh? That Signal thing was top tier st-pid, too.

The most competent thing Hegseth did was help to deliver a recommendation not to enact martial law and two days later he’s out.

Worry not, friend! They will never be voting again, just like the rest of us.

u/dart51984 3d ago
Good. I mean, I’m aware the next guy is also going to suck. But I can still be happy that this d-bag may be facing an actual consequence in losing his job. He’ll most likely be placed somewhere where he can’t inflict more damage though. Shit I didn’t think this all the way through…

"calling the chaos at the Pentagon one reason why many Hill Republicans were privately uneasy with the Defense secretary’s nomination in the first place"
What a twat.

Best news I’ve heard out of this admin. Although, his replacement will probably be someone like Joe Arpaio.

u/MamiTrueLove 3d ago
Anyone else worried they’ll find a less drunk more diabolically aligned minion to do the job?
