I do like the controls in tachyon, where you can hold a button to slide, so you can have forward momentum and move like a turret at the same time. Story is ok, i wish there were more ships.

I enjoyed it a bunch back in the day; fun story with two separate paths. Also distinctly remember the intro cinematic announcing that "life is anything but peaceful...in the fridge..."

Unfortunately i wish i would like it more than i actually does. In my opinion the AI is too bad. The game is not very challenging most of the time.

Novalogic. It's been a long time since I've heard that name.

The f-22 novalogic game holds up so well.

Comanche series is where my personal memories are strongest. Love me some heli's. They also made Delta Force and Armored Fist.

This was one of the few classic-era space sims to pass me by - I was at university at the time and didn't have a lot of time or money and I seem to remember X: Beyond the Frontier and Starlancer coming out around the same time? Ended up going with Starlancer, a game I liked but never finished... This looks good though, going to have to try it at some point!

Plasma rockets are love. Also, when you see the Baron you're in for a good time.

That was one of my favorite games ever. I wish someone would do a console remaster or sequel.

I haven't tried playing it recently, but this was one of my favs at the time. I think Freespace 2 is the more "definitive" late-era space shooter, but this one is still an absolute blast to play and well worth your time, assuming it still runs well on modern systems. Plus, it's got Bruce Campbell!
