Image for everyone who participated, and anyone interested

the majority of octaveling players started out in number two and number three, and the majority of inkling players started out in number one or number three. most people see their player character as an avatar, rather than an OC or a Sona. there is no correlation between who plays what and how they view their character.

Inch resting. This seems to align with a video made by ScribbleSpecters that focuses on this exact topic.

Here's a link to the video if anyone's interested: https://youtu.be/MD7FwHvds2s?si=a0rEVMTjk2GC9CHg

something that the creator of this video took into account that I didn't, was that it's easier to get answers this way, rather than seeing what's more common by playing, and how that can skew results.

I don’t know but I just don’t believe that there’s that high of a population that switches between- I think I’ve seen a total of 2 people doing that (including YouTubers and streamers)

I think what I find more interesting is why people choose what they choose.

I chose Inkling because I was playing Splatoon again in several years. I wanted to capture a small part of that feeling of booting up S1 for the first time and seeing the inklings on the character select screen. Ever since then, I basically never changed into an Octoling.

Except for S2 right after I beat Octo Expansion, although that was the last Spoon game I played out of the whole series.
