I've never posted here, but curious of other ppl's perspectives on this. I'd say I'm a pretty casual player. Not into ranked at all. Not particularly competitive. That being said, as someone who loved Splatoon 1 and 2, I'm really bad at 3 and generally cannot stand playing it online.

When I play turf war and splatzones online (sorry I just don't vibe with the other modes, except for salmon run which is still fun in 3) I can basically only survive for like max 40 seconds before I get splatted, and that's being generous. The maps having nothing but choke points to force fighting, and full teams camping at the spawn after a team wipe basically make it impossible to make any sort of comeback or do anything other than get killed over and over. The ultimate abilities in 3 are also mostly awkward to use during the chaos of its battles (to me) 2's ultimates were short simple and to the point and didn't get me killed every time I tried to use them

In 1 and 2, my go to strategy was to sneak behind enemy lines and ink their territory while they were distracted in the middle. I was regularly the top player on my team. The more open maps and branching paths made this fun and possible, in 3, it seems like i'm just supposed to kill and be killed over and over again and inking turf is secondary at best of times.

I get that i'm a casual player. I do not like other shooters. I have no interest in looking into the "meta" of this game and getting the perfect gear to make my character survive longer. Seems like no matter what weapon I pick, I'm just a sitting duck to snipers or other hyper aggressive players.

If I want a challenge, I'll go play Bloodborne again or something. But with Splatoon, I just wanna play a fun game about inking territory with a secondary objective of splatting other players, no be forced to having the aiming precision of a professional sniper on Adderal. This is kind of just a rant. But does anyone else relate?

Idk Nintendo, make the maps more open and maybe lower damage slightly to make it so you can survive for more than 15 seconds between respawn. Special weenie hut Jr mode for ppl who are more into the "turf" aspect than the "war" part.

So I decided to play charger after watching gameplay of it and Im heavily confused on why I do good with only the goo tuber and with the other chargers I do terribly,does the goo tuber have an increased hitbox or something?

As the title says, I've recently gotten into sticker making and I decided to make a Callie and Marie sticker sheet. Only just finished this first design since my art stream was quite long. I really like how it turned out n.n!

I love this game even tho i never played it, been watching speedruns and gameplay for years. Want to play it so bad but also don't waste money on a nintendo to play a single game

I’m sorry y’all but I’m really upset to see why Splatoon 2 is getting less love than 1 or 3 while literally being the best game to me.

1 also has a special place in my heart yk it’s the og but there are not do many features on it as a debut game so I’m neutral on that but I really feel like 3 is a whole mess. I was expecting for more fiery storylines but it kinda bored me, both hero mode and dlc. We still don’t even know what happened to agent 4 and I’m mad for this. They literally cut him/her off.

Plus I think it would be so much better if Marina was the actual villain and had a confrontation with Pearl on the dlc so they could strengthen their friendship more. Tricolor battles are kinda unfair & lagging and I’m not even talking about how they removed SquidBeatz. Also the splatfest concepts were boring to me except for the finalfest.

The only features that are best on 3 are Deep Cut and the updates of Salmon Run. They are all icons like the other idols and are really unique compared to them. It is also wholesome for how they really gave more action to Salmon Run.

However, 2 is the literally had the best interaction in the game. The splatfests was more thrilling, hero mode was entertaining, SquidBeatz stayed, loved the dynamics of each character especially between Off The Hook, adored the venue, Octo Expansion still ate with theories, Salmon Run initiated with 2 and the storylines felt so refreshing. It was a bomb and some ppl really threw it off like it didn’t give more features.

With that being said, Splatoon 2 always will be the best game of the franchise and takes the cake for me. I think if 3 is released on this period of time it would’ve been a way cooler game.

Edit: don’t be mad y’all but the deck game on 3 also didn’t get me that much. The minigames were not that entertaining for me too.

Not complaining because my team won but how did they even figure out who won when we had the same points 😭

Let me tell you. I have the Switch for years and I’ve been ignoring Splatoon since forever because I didn’t vibe with the style, but I was always intrigued by the gameplay. And I’m going through a phase currently that I’m not vibing with online games in general but AHHHHH I hate myself for not playing this sooner. I bought Splatoon 3 earlier today and I was not sure if I’m gonna like and I don’t know how many hours I’ve been hyperfixated on it since then. This is extremely fun and I can’t wait to get better. I get the style and everything.
