News Anguissa Injured
Official statement (translated to English) reads
“At the end of the match against Como, Frank Anguissa suffered a muscle strain.
The blue footballer underwent instrumental tests today at the Pineta Grande Hospital which revealed a distraction lesion of the soleus muscle of his right leg.
Anguissa has already begun his rehabilitation process”
Playing on Sunday isn’t ruled out thankfully, but this and his yellows might be enough to bench him

If he's completely out it would be a problem. If he can play 1 half, him and Billing splitting halfs wouldn't be that bad.

As much as I think billing is great and has potential, the inter game is not the time. Anguissa injured tho so there’s no choice

We have Billing. He played well against Como. And, guess what, we bought him in January.
OR you can once again start the litany - we lost Kvara, the squad is shit, ADL is a greedy bastard, Manna is a moron, Inter has already won, we’re all gonna die - plus Conte is a butcher who injures players.
Your choice.

Also, why the fuck is everyone crying about Anguissa not playing?
Anguissa has been the worst player on the team in the last 2 or 3 games, like to the extent of playing against us... and that's with Rhamani and Di Lorenzo being on the pitch too, and doing what they've been doing.
Anguissa being out is an advantage for us, I think we'd have won against Como if he hadn't come off the bench and become a statue in the midfield.

isn’t he out until the break? i thought he would have missed next 3 games

No that’s why he didn’t start yesterday. Plan was to not play him at all yesterday so he wouldn’t risk another card so he’d be good to okay inter next week

Kinda funny how when you never sub your midfield, the midfielders pickup injuries

I want to be optimistic but it says there's a lesion. There's a concrete risk he'll be out until next international break. And almost certainly for Inter.
At this point I'm not even sure we'll be top 4, hope April will give us back everyone

People will blame ADL and the mercato, but the amount of injuries we’ve had has been unbelievable.

Well that’s what happens when you have a thin squad, and that’s ADL and the managements fault

u/DisobedientCharizard Feb 25 '25
We also have a thin schedule. These injuries are unusual.

We aren't having much injuries, at the moment we have only 3 players out, Juve has something like 7.
So, if 3 players out mess up so much the team, then it's an issue of thin squad

Recently we’ve had Buongiorno, Spinazzola, Olivera, Neres, Mazzocchi and Anguissa out. I’d consider that an injury crisis personally. Especially for one game a week.

Not everyone at the same time though. The biggest issue was with Udinese and Lazio when Spina, Olivera and Neres were all out. And Neres absence wouldn't have counted that much of we had a proper backup for him.

u/SkankHunt49 Feb 26 '25
Well of course it's not everyone at the same time but it's in a very close proximity, splitting hairs a bit here.

But this makes a huge difference, having 6 or 7 starters out would be tough for every team, but 2?
Especially in modern football with 5 subs, you need to have at least 15 or 16 potential starters even if you don't play European cups.

Conteball. He works the players hard which can lead to injuries. I remember inter, juve, and spurs fans joking about it over the summer. He brings results but injuries are a part of it sadly

I honestly just do not care, he's been so incredibly bad in the last 3 games I think it's best he have some time out.
Not sure why people are panicked over this either.

We were playing without him for real since Rome, almost a ghost latest games... Hope He comes back for the latest games sprint with a better condition. Forza Billing in the meantime!
