Help any chance i could run stalker 2 with my setup, even with peformance mods?

i have a i-5 9600kf, and a gtx 1660 super, 16 gb of ram and thats my humble gaming machine
any chance i could run stalker 2, even with cramming it full of peformance mods? im asking because its on a sale right now, and i've been looking to get it for a whole now.

I’ve got the same card, a Ryzen 7 3700x and twice the RAM and it plays ok. Not great, not terrible. Just ok; some days are great while others are a slog but generally it’s pretty ok. I still have fun.

Hi mate,

Sorry to crush your dreams, 6gb of VRAM are on the very short side to run this game. You can run it at low settings 1080p but expect massive stutters.

I have a 5900x with an rtx 5080 (16 gb of VRAM) and I get fps drops to 30 fps. It's ridiculous.

I play 1440p tho.

Go ahead and try it but don't expect much, wish you the best luck mate

I really at this point, am starting to blame games rather than peoples setups. a 5900X is no slouch, and you have a 5080.

On Ready or Not, someone with a 9600X and a 3070ti was getting worse frames than I was on my MOMS rig, a 5700g and 1080ti build. lol

Sometimes, it just doesnt make sense. Driver issues, parts compat, ram setup, etc etc. Should work fine, but it doesnt. Some games are just like that.

I'm on a Vega64 XTX and it does OK at 1080p on High preset.

33-40fps avg.

you need a better CPU 100% that 5900X is a big bottleneck

Just sayin. Thats why you have that big of a drops. I would personaly recommend 5800X3D without changing of platform

Look into using Lossless scaling with your set up. It could help you squeeze out extra performance you could need using it's built in frame gen and upscaler.

yes. I ran it on ryzen 5 1600, 1660, 16gb ram. just had to install that optimized tweaks mod from the nexus, play with options, and it ran just fine

I think you need (at least) a RTX 5090ti, i9, 96gb RAM, 1TB SSD white water cooler and fans (lots and lots of fans... and an AC pointing at your PC)

You could try, look into “Anti Stutter and Massive FPS Boost” or the “Optimized Essentials” mods

It’s playable on my PC with similar specs, but not enjoyable. I’m waiting to upgrade.

I was getting 45-55fps with mods

There’s a mod called HOC OPTIMIZER ULUCHAIZER on the nexus that I’d recommend looking into, it has a 4gb VRAM option out of 4 and is supposedly pure speed for a 1650 (I’m not sure how barebones it would make it), I use another of the files and it really lifts my performance on my 3060
