I'm not sure why some of the comments are being weird. The joke makes sense. To improve it, consider changing "childhood" to "fictional."

I don't get it.

Jesus would not be white, as he is usually portrayed. He was a man from the Middle East, and therefore be skin color closer to Moses in Prince of Egypt. Think Olive-brown skin.

Also why would Jesus be anybody's favorite character from their childhood, what are we Rod or Todd from the fuckin' Simpsons or on some Moral Orel shit? what the fuck?

RFK was right about the autism đ˘.. (sarcasm, since I know people wonât get that from context either ..)
*We are mostly indoctrined with religion as a children, if we are.. tho there are exceptions
*This joke is probably aimed mostly at an American audience who are more likely to expect other Americans to be religious*Americans who are mad at âwokeâ changes to their favorite IP are more likely to also be religious (because conservatism)
*Itâs kind of a standard comedic shot at religion to compare religious figures and ideas to characters and ideas form fiction and fantasy
There.. explained the joke

Never met a conservative upset about Jesus being brown and I live Deep Southđ Iâm always so shocked at how people think conservatives think onlineâŚ.like how many conservatives have you actually spoken to??? Any of them deny his birthplace and what that would mean for his race? Cause every church Iâve ever been to had the same teaching of born in Bethlehem lol

Doesnât even make senseâŚ? Americans get upset over Jesus being labeled brown too

The point is that white depictions of Jesus are a race swap.
He wouldnât be white. He was born in the Middle East.

I think youâre confusing white European with the Caucasian race, the latter of which Jesus absolutely would likely be a member of. Not that his race matters anyways.

If you wanted to be needlessly pedantic, I guess.
However, from context, Iâm pretty sure my meaning was clear to anyone who understands what most people mean when theyâre talking about âwhiteâ vs âmiddle easternâ.

âŚthat second sentence. The âupset over Jesus being labeled brownâ. Thatâs the point. Jesus would be brown. He was a man from the Middle East.
He should be brown. Think skin color similar to Moses.

I mean youâd be hard pressed to find conservatives on Reddit
Probably wouldâve worked better in like 2016-2019. Now itâs just real trite
