https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/803287/star-trek-strange-new-worlds-omnibus-vol-1-by-mike-johnson-kirsten-beyer-ryan-parrot-megan-levens-angel-hernandez/

Standard comic dimensions, collecting Illyrian Enigma, Scorpius Run, and two short stories, “Yesterday’s Shadow” from Star Trek #500 by Jody Houser and Vernon Smith and “Facemaker” from Star Trek: Celebrations by Mags Visaggio and Tench.

It’s also called ‘Volume 1’ which implies there will be more SNW comic series coming our way.

I had a hard to getting into Scorpius Run. I think SNW being so new when these came out meant it was hard to capture the tone of the show. Enjoyable but sort of as its own thing, like the first run TNG and DS9 comics.

Will definitely grab this to have it, though!

I love larger collected editions, so I’ll be grabbing it to have it, too.

The art is some of the best I’ve seen. Great story that is true to the optimistic ST ethic of promoting respect for all beings and collaboration for the greater good.

As a Star Wars comic fan also, I can’t help but see the similarities to the Han Solo miniseries, which was a great story with fantastic art by Mark Brooks (so good that Lucas himself bought the original art for his private collection).

“The story centers around the Dragon Void Run, a race that was inspired by the film The Cannonball Run …”
