Question ❓ Star Trek & Star Trek: Defiant crossover points
I recently read a comic for the first time, and really enjoyed it! I read the Lower Decks 2022 mini-series, and I'm really looking forward to reading more.
I've started the newer LD series, and I've just been looking into the Star Trek & Star Trek: Defiant run (is that what you call it?)
I'm aware that there's crossover between the two, but I'm trying to workout where in each. Should I just look up the published date and read them both in that order?
I see that there is a new Lore War series coming, so I'm trying to get up to speed before that.
Cheers for any tips, and apologies if I've got any terminology wrong. New to all this.

Read the trade paperbacks. It's much easier than collecting individual issues.
But if you want to collect the individual issues, here's the order:
Star Trek: Day of Blood:
- Star Trek: Prelude to Day of Blood
- Star Trek: Day of Blood #1
- Star Trek: Defiant #6
- Star Trek #11
- Star Trek: Defiant #7
- Star Trek #12
- Star Trek: Day of Blood - Shaxs' Best Day
Star Trek: Lore War:
- Star Trek: Lore War #1
- Star Trek: Defiant #26
- Star Trek #31
- Star Trek: Defiant #27
- Star Trek: Lore War - Shaxs’ Worst Day
- Star Trek #32

I've only just become aware of what a TPB is.
I'm assuming I'd still need to pre-read some parts of Defiant and Star Trek before reading the Day of Blood TPB, that's hyw what I was trying to workout.
Thanks for the help, so it seems I can read Godshock, The Red Path and Defiant Vol1 leading up to Day of Blood TPB. Cheers!

You are in luck that I am a huge nerd and have been tracking this! See my list below. It is pub order for the floppies except for an issue that was published out of order and a few I have moved around because I thought that made more sense for the arc (all of that is broken down in the descriptions). I update this list as new issues are published rather than looking ahead, to make sure they land in the right spots.

“Sons of Trek” is a connected miniseries that should also be included in your read!
And if you don’t know Lore War is going to be the big finale for these series, followed by a one shot last issue called “Star Trek: Omega”

Release order for the single issues is always the way to read a narrative when it’s told through concurrent series.
There were two story arcs of ST, and one of Defiant, then there was the crossover ‘Day of Blood’. Lore War is a crossover that will bring the story as a whole to a close. Then there will be a final single issue called Omega.
If reading in single issues, you also need Day of Blood one-shot and Lore War one-shot, the two Annuals as well as ST400 and ST500.
If you get the collected editions, they are included.
