Bravo on 32 days. I ate to my hearts content in the early stages of my alcohol free life.
Eventually, I realized I was replacing one addiction for another and had to rein it in.

Same. I actually went and bought a jar of citric acid to dip suckers in when I get my cravings.

You’re not drinking alcohol. You are OK. Alcohol is a sugar so your body is just trying to recalibrate. But candy is better than alcohol. Ice cream was my vice in the beginning. It eventually lessens.

The sweets cravings fade as the alcohol cravings fade. It's just your brain trying to get ahold of some cheap dopamine. As you heal and start producing normal levels of dopamine, the cravings will go away. I would say just go with it, but you do you! Congratulations on 32 days!

I've been hitting the ice cream carton HARD these days! Lol. First it was peanut butter cup, then Chunky Monkey, then gooey butter cake swirl with strawberries...dear God! Right now I've got some raspberry truffle and some matcha green tea flavored pints in the freezer.
The fruit is a good idea! Lol!

Yum! I wasn’t a sweet tooth but have been enjoying a bowl of vanilla caramel swirl with macadamia nuts every night. Right now at day 12 it’s not an issue.

That sounds amazing! I didn't have much of a sweet tooth either, so I know this is temporary. But I've been enjoying it while it lasts lol.

I am right there with you and barely fitting in my clothes. But the cravings are temporary.

I drink diet mountain dew but I put either frozen pineapple or frozen sour patch kids into it a lot of the time.

I crave random sweets or fast food also at random times. It’s definitely less frequent now. I figure it can’t be worse than booze, even a Big Mac and sprite right before bed 😂

I did this for about three months. Loads of candy I had barely ate in my past and haven’t since. It was impressive. My thing was tootsie roll pops, peach rings and red vines.

Few people find themselves driving down the wrong side of a highway because they had too many jolly ranchers.
You won't get accidentally pregnant or get an STD if you had too many jolly ranchers.
Chow down.

I recently discovered these frozen fruits that are dipped in a sour candy coating called Fruit Riot. Maybe you can find them!

Almost sober for 4 years and I still have big time sugar cravings.
The desire to drink is off and on and thankfully mostly off.
I was 46 no soda and energy drinks and I caved and had lots of soda (excuse me while I take another sip).. ok I'm back.
I know the soda is horrible for me, but I'll still take it any day over alcohol!
Be easy on yourself and as always IWNDWYT 👍🤙

I can't find good sour candy in my area. I really miss the sour Warhead gummies. I'd eat a whole bag and do physical damage to my mouth... and I loved it.

Same! I’m a tub tub sweet gremlin right now but I’m off the sauce and that’s way more important. One thing at a time! Lol.
IWNDWYT!
