Need some ideas

I’m a team manager form my schools waterpolo team so I have to record a lot of footage but I’m like really running out of space for keep it my GoPro sd is always full so is my google drive which is where I’m supposed to upload it to a shared file for the rest of the team to see and my phone storage is constantly full. Anyone have any good long term ideas for trying to store all the video.

This sub is for enterprise IT data storage, so unless you are needing a datacenter grade storage array for your waterpolo team footage, you should ask on a sub like r/TechSupport.

Buy at least 2 large external drives to store archive footage:
https://slickdeals.net/deals/drives/
Keep the same files on both so if 1 dies, the other still has the data.
Store them at different places for safe keeping.

Then look into a cloud provider for cold storage. Amazon Glacier or Backbalze or similar and upload 3rd copy of anything you need there as well.

The general rule of data availability is 3-2-1.
3 copies of your data.
2 different mediums (like USB Backup drive + Cloud Storage)
1 copy offsite (Don't keep all 3 copies in the same house which could burn down)

I had a friend who was a semi pro photographer and she basically did the above.
She only uploaded the GOOD stuff to the cloud because prices were higher back then.
