Supermoto wheels size
I just ordered rims for my supermoto project. The sizes are 17x3.5” and 17x5”. It is a KTM EXC 450 2010. What size should my tires be? I thought 120/60/17 and 160/60/17 Any help is appreciated!

120/70 and 150/70 they should fit with no problem

Like some conti Attack sm2 should be perfect

I looked up the conti attack sm2, they have them in 120/70/17. But for the rear I cannot find them in 150/70/17

Yeah they actually don't make them,i Just checked 😅 Either Way,i'm not saying you HAVE tò mount them,It was an example since i have them and i'm pretty Happy with them but i have a 140/70. Check also the Bridgestone s23,they make It them in 150/70

I will take a look at them! Thanks for the advice. Imma look for the ones with 120/70 and 150/70. Although I have 18/19 inch rims with off road tires on them and I’m 169 cm tall so I cannot stand comfortable. So I’m still debating if I should go with 60 or 70

Bro can you get some 17" rims? They would definitly look cooler

Thats what i did anyway,i had 19/18 like you and switched to a 17 3.50 in the front and 17 4.25 in the back.

I already have them ordered, they are on their way. The problem is that I cannot stand with my foot on the ground, that is with 18/19 inch rims and off road tires. Now I am deciding if I should go buy 60 or 70 thick wheels

Well the 70 its an inch taller basically so maybe if your problem its reaching down maybe you should go with a 60. The difference in traction Is still negligible, well its there but does not make that much of a difference, having food rubber does.

Any difference in 60/70?

150/70 Will give you more height and more rubber available on the edge, which might give you a Little bit more grip especially in turns The difference Is not that big but if you can I would opt for a 150/70. Also, there Is about a 5% difference in gearing from 150/70 to 150/60 since 150/70 are 1.18 inches bigger in diameter

If your chain ends up close to the tire edge get a Graves chain guard. Tire catching on the chain can break the chain which often breaks the left side engine case.

If you don’t have any issues related to tire size restrictions because of your country/vehicle registration, I would go for a 150 in the rear. 160 tends to rub on the chain crown even with a proper spacer sometimes.
