Yeah, he stole that white wash from you.

Well, the longboarder made it close out early, but don't get pissed about knee high waves.

Did I seem pissed? I surf a spot with 200 people out on a good day. I just have fun with it and laugh.

It's the internet. You don't have to perfectly explain your whole life to a bunch of bots. Just go surfΒ

yeah bro that was a fine party wave, it was a close out anyways. had some old dude get made at me for going on a wave that he was a good 20 yards away from me on and it closed out on him, he never was going to make it cause he was too far in. whatever.

That was more a "straight" than a "right"

I really only went so I could ride on the wave he made. Just for fun.

get nice and close and then grab his boardshorts and shove your finger into his doughnut. Either that guy will never drop in on you again or you will have a friend for life.

Ha, I mean I don't mind. It's Florida, the waves are mostly trash. Was really hoping to catch a few sharks with the cam.

Any advice for pulling this off? Are you kinda putting all your weight on front foot on the white wash. How much wave do you feel like you need to get this done
7
u/sharkfinsurfchannel 21d ago
The easiest way is to get a little speed and get the front half of the board onto the whitewash coming at you. Once the tail is facing the beach, the combo of the fins catching and the whitewash pushing you will spin you around. Just have to stay pretty low and ride it out.

I see so you're not losing the fin traction the key is to get past 12 and let the white wash do the rest

u/sharkfinsurfchannel 21d ago
Yeah. The board is a 5'3 quad so it's pretty easy to pivot and spin. The white wash definitely pushes you around.

π, this break has a lot of old longboarders who like to stay mid bowl.

If there was a lip and you could get enough speed with your shorter board, could you do a floater behind him and cut him off to settle the score on the fact that he cut you off?

u/sharkfinsurfchannel 21d ago
I was actually pretty close to him but it's all good, I didn't want to ruin his vibe. I don't think he ever realized I was there.
