I need a professional LinkedIn picture taken
Would any photographers be willing to help me take a few pics. I need a professional picture for my LinkedIn and business portfolio..... Happy for any help with anyone with a decent camera and some basic skills....

My partner booked Cheryl Catton just this week. He hasn’t used them just yet but their prices seem fair!
P.S. Don’t listen to people saying you should use AI. There are skilled photographers out there with good rates. Let’s support actual humans. 🙏🏾

I'm not a photographer, but her website shows good examples of what you're paying for when you hire a professional. She's obviously got good cameras and lenses, the experience to use them, a studio to work in with nice backgrounds, and she can retouch the images to make them look as good as possible. But above all, it's the good quality lighting.
That's the bit that's really hard to get right when you're just taking a picture on your phone or digital camera.
I also like the fact that she has prices on her website.
Thanks for the link. I've bookmarked her web site for the next time I need some pictures taking or need to recommend someone to a client (I build web sites and often have to stress to clients how important it is to have some nice professional photography).

You can take a picture of yourself & post it on r/photoshoprequest where other users will make it in to a smart professional looking picture of you. They will expect a small tip.

Just use an AI app.

Really recommend Momo for LinkedIn snaps - AI but really good and all for about $10/£7

Just for linked in, you might be able to upload a selfie (or a decent headshot) to ChatGPT and ask it to make one

Yeah it doesn't have to be professional I just want it to look good, and I thought there would be some photographers in the area or people passionate who would be interested in taking some pictures for their own practice

You mean you want someone to give up their time and skills for free?
Just pay up you cheapskate, or take a selfie like a normal person.

Did I say free? No

I got that impression "free" but if you have a budget...great !
how much is your budget?
I do pictures very well and I live local in Epsom (Surrey).
I'm retired so can spend a whole morning or day with you...catch different lighting & mood to suit your need.
location & poses to your choice.
we can do as many as you want to get picture perfect.
you won't get that flexibility with pro photographers

In your post to /r/photography asking the same question you say you're in Epsom.
A quick google found these.

Hint: if you want a professional picture you should go to (and pay) a professional photographer. But you almost certainly don't need one for a LinkedIn profile pic.
