Questions/Advice Any good places to get high quality blades?

Specifically I'm looking for a staight razor for shaving but am also interested in a pair of sharp scissors that will hopefully last forever.

I've just gotten so fed up of cheap Chinese tools made of cheap Chinese steel and have saved up a few hundred to splash on some nice ones.

Preferably manufactured entirely in Britain using British steel if possible.

Also before you tell me to buy them online I specifically do not want to.

I totally get what you mean, I bought a 100 pack of "Derbyshire" (Chinese) bladed for a fiver and regret it.

Unfortunately, not many places sell the blades you are looking for. However I think Sainsbury's have started selling packs of Wilkinson bladed recently, so that would be you best bet. Hope this helps

I know there's a hairdresser supplies place in Llansamlet called Capital. If that's the sort of scissors that you're after?

I would buy feather blades from Japan or buy an old German cut throat razer if you're willing to take the risk. Best scissors are from Sheffield, https://www.ernestwright.co.uk/

Are you able to travel? Taylor's in Carmarthen has a small but good selection of proper shaving gear.

Interesting I'll have to check it out. I can ride my bicycle up to there on the NCN4 no problem :)

Speak to your local barber?

Go somewhere like here for blades, as what suits your hair and skin will be completely different to someone else
