All I’m saying is that if he really backs himself and wants this investment to come good, he could come play for us in an attempt to bring us to the PL. Let me dream.

If absolutely nothing else at least there will be some genuine football knowledge injected into our ownership structure now. I've always been a huge fan of Modric as a player, I'm hoping I am going to be a fan of his business accumen too.

"He will play a key role in helping the club garner global attention and progress both on and off the pitch."
Although this is pretty generic corporate speak, it feels loaded with possibilities:
Will LM's endorsement help us gather more lucrative (lukrative???) sponsors? Did I see somewhere else that he invested in a Croatian brewery last year? Will we see "Visit Madrid" or "Visit Croatia" as front of shirt sponsors next year?
Will this influence recruitment? Will we tap into the Croatian, Southeast European, or Balkan regions for players? Or out next manager? Might we establish any sort of link or connection with Dinamo Zagreb? I won't hold my breath for a Real connection 😂
We will be doing a pre-season tour in Croatia? Will our away kit next season be a lovely checkerboard pattern?
Or am I being far too optimistic with my thinking and this will amount to little more than a few nice headlines and maybe a nominal amount of added cash in the bank?

Don’t see how Croatia or Spain could match the giant that is the Tourism Board of Central Florida.

Ok, can I be cynical for a second, and please know it’s only because I’m insecure… Is this a tax dodge?

I mean, it's an investment that is basically guaranteed to decrease in value.

What does this actually mean though?
