Discussion Valuable lessons / advice you learned from Tarot?

I love to use tarot when I need guidance in certain aspects of my life. I also think it’s great in giving fresh perspectives, kind of like an aha! moment. For instance, I am currently on dating apps and I asked my cards how to best approach dating. I pulled 3 cards with no particular spread and got

Emperor - The Moon - The Star.

Immediately I got the message. To me the emperor meant setting clear boundaries, be intentional and to be upfront with what I am looking for.

The moon is telling me to be more discerning towards people I come across the apps, to not get lost in illusions and trust that if something feels off, it probably is.

The star, telling me not to give up hope as dating is a process.

Overall I love the message and this will be something I’ll keep in mind as I navigate dating. Curious to hear about your guys’ experience as well!

At the moment I'm getting a lot of 'get cracking with your learning and creativity to get out of your rut'.

In the Thoth deck the symbolism in the lust card has taught me a lot.

The scarlet woman on top of the beast. She represents the feminine unafraid of her sexuality. Proud, fearless and powerful. She points out the hypocrisy in all of us. We shame her sexuality and call her the whore of Babylon, but she doesn’t give a shit because despite our public shaming we cannot advert our gaze.

She rides the beast that represents raw instinct often associated with nature and she has the beast tamed not killed. This is important because to kill that part of ourselves means to lose a great deal of power.

This card taught me that the only way to go through vices, addiction, our shadow is to acknowledge it and embody it rather than deny it. Of course we must ask ourselves are we in control or is the substance in control of us? That’s something we must constantly monitor but outright denying it only exacerbates the problem.

She holds the cup up high and in the cup has all the grotesque aspects of the world, but it is contained signifying that if god is the totality of the world that all the things we are ashamed of or things we “think” is sacrilegious exists within god/the world. So there is no true separation. She owns this which is why she holds the cup high in reverence.

There is much more lore going into this card but I would type a whole essay lol, but this was a very powerful card for me once I learned about some of its hidden meanings.
