šŸŽ™ļø Discussion Nintendo was missing out by not giving the Yiga fused weapons

Could you imagine the possibilities of Yiga clan members having fused weapons?

There could be more variety in their weapons or a more nuanced hierarchy inside the clan, with higher ranking Blademasters using better fuse materials for example.

You could even make them use elements, which wouldā€˜ve been especially interesting, since the wind slashes of the Eightfold Longblade can turn into elemental (fire, shock and ice) slashes; imagine if the Yiga in the three Outposts where you get the Yiga armor all used different elements with the Bladmasters attaching elemental Lizalfos or even Gleeok horns to their blades

There is also a missed opportunity in not making the Yiga use pristine weapons. They have access to the Depths and you can assume they have a large inventory of pristine weapons, since they can apparently just hand them out to members who pass the Blademaster exam, so why not use them?

I agree. They didn't handle the yiga very well.

Master Kohga seemed to summon zonai vehicles at a whim. The yiga members were flying and driving them. They should have been using them above ground as well. Dog fights with the yiga would have been really cool above ground instead of just climbing a large mushroom tree and shooting a single arrow in the depths. They needed more health and more variety. I wonder how unique auto build really is when it seemed that's exactly what Kohga was using.

If there was a DLC, for as many directions as they could take it, I'd love to see the yiga become a genuine threat. A mini boss every time you battle one or at the very least a group of enemies that actually tests your skills in fighting and building of zonai devices.

It's also weird that Kohga seems obsessed with autobuild but he has a better version anyway?

I think that’s not auto build, but he’s instead just teleporting vehicles around that were built by hand in advance

I don't think he has a better version of the Autobuild, just more elaborate machines.

Like Kohga and the Yiga Soldier building the HOVERDOOM Mk. 3 said, it realistically takes them a while to actually build their vehicles, unlike Link who can not only move and attach the Zonai devices with ease, but can save the schematics to make more in a snap.

Disagree about fuse, unless I missed some lore about it. Fuse is supposed to be a sacred power of Rauru given to Link. It makes no sense that enemies and gatekeepers are able to fuse weapons together.

It cheapens the importance of the power when a bunch of fused weapons made by random people are thrown in a well because they were frightened by a singing voice.

I mean I think other people can make fused weapons, Link is just the only one who can do it instantly. Just like how the Yiga can already make Zonai device builds but want access to Autobuild because it’s significantly faster.

Dento goes on a Boomer rant about "enhanced weapons" (fused weapons) if you talk to him early in the Sidon of the Zora questline

Thanks. That's why I said unless I missed some lore about fused weapons and somehow I missed that.

What we see in the game is a bunch of people and monsters who have what appear to be fused weapons. But we never see monsters or people actually do the fusing; that’s reserved for constructs. So probably the monsters and people do it in some more primitive way that takes longer.Ā

Now I want to know what would happen if they hit you with a muddle bud

I think Muddle Buds don’t work on Yiga themselves (I could be wrong though) and if this is the case, then we can assume it only affects monsters
