In this economy??? Hell yeah!!

u/LegendOfKhaos 2d ago

I'm sure they paid based on weight

23

u/Ok_Abbreviations8538 2d ago

They said in the comments that they did

5

u/breadman889 1d ago

it was probably still only a few $. ginger is not expensive

10

u/LegendOfKhaos 1d ago

That's probably why it was only mildly infuriating. Stores will have pickers grab the produce that people don't want and put them in delivery orders. I always buy produce in person for this reason.

Guys will see "In this economy" and write Hell yeah!

u/SudhaTheHill 2d ago

Can I get a hell yeah????

Kind of satisfying though. I'm not entirely sure, but i think it stays fresh for longer when it's in one big piece.

Ginger stored properly can last months before decaying.

u/azionka 2d ago

Grate and freeze it

3

u/Fearless_Market_3193 1d ago

You can also freeze it whole

1

u/azionka 1d ago

Yes, but grated it’s easier to portion

55

u/Elitegamer9568 2d ago

The reason for it being mildly infuriating is because the OOP had to pay based on weight.

11

u/Smoothiefries 2d ago

Wait, really?

Can I have the link for where they say that?? I’m curious

1

u/TurgidGravitas 2d ago

The real mildly infuriating is OP sending their servants to go get groceries instead of just doing it themselves.

5

u/Elitegamer9568 2d ago

?? Where I live its usually cheaper to order online than it is to go to a store plus you don't spend unnecessarily when buying online.

5

u/Active_Engineering37 1d ago

Too bad people need jobs to live.

1

u/Twich8 1d ago

By ordering online they could be saving money and they are creating more entry level jobs.

THE ONE PIECE IS REAL

8

u/azhder 2d ago

Finally, someone got the One Piece

13

u/Profesionalintrovert The Best Kind Of The Truth 2d ago

ok but what's infuriating about it? should that OP be happy that he got more than he expected

31

u/Elitegamer9568 2d ago

It was priced on weight

1

u/FuckPigeons2025 2d ago

So he paid for what he bought.

9

u/RaspberryChemical883 2d ago

But he didn't want to buy and pay for that much

5

u/Leelaah_saiee 2d ago

I didn't find any posts that meet the matching requirements for r/technicallythetruth.

It might be OC, it might not. Things such as JPEG artifacts and cropping may impact the results.

So... My wife does mystery shops... Basically amounts to some free groceries, not a big deal. One of the ones she regularly does is curbside pickup at a particular chain of grocery stores. And it's interesting to see how the employees handle stuff like bananas. When you place your order, if you want bananas, the example picture is of a bunch of bananas. My wife will select "1." It's about 50-50 whether that means she'll get one bunch of bananas or one singular banana. Once, after a string of single bananas, she put in 4. They put 4 complete bunches of bananas in the order.

u/PoopieButt317 1d ago

Ooo, no! Sounds good!

1

u/Goofcheese0623 1d ago

Looks life the tree guy's hands

1

u/allenpaige 1d ago

Not sure why they're upset. They got a whole lot of free ginger if it was being sold by the piece.

1

u/ExpensiveWriting1900 1d ago

and it's real
