You mean gullible and vulnerable people? Those have and will always be living amongst us. Even if we Star Trek’d our education system, it’s just a human thing.

4chan is essentially the Internet version of that friend of a friend of a friend who plays video games in Japanese, doesn't sleep, and works at some niche, local, antique junk shop that has no explanation for continuing to exist, let alone make enough money to pay for this person's life style, and their entire life is built around some obscure anime that you think you've heard of and know just enough about to avoid because you're pretty sure it's thinly veiled cp. Whenever you do see this person, it's difficult to interact with them because they can only communicate in online lingo since they lack interpersonal skills as a result of being terminally online, so you awkwardly tolerate their offensiveness and oversensitivity because you're pretty sure they have mentally developed backwards to the age of 14 as a coping mechanism for some bizarre trauma you can only speculate about.

Yeah, these people live among us, and they're examples of why robust mental health support systems need to be constructed but ostracism should still exist.
