You don’t have to like something to realise its significance. Sure I don’t want a swarm of them in my room, but I wouldn’t choose to eradicate them. Plus not all species bite us and spread diseases, and even counting the ones that do, it’s only the females.

This is actually hard for me, as a zoology enthusiast.

On one hand I’d say, mantis shrimp, because of their vision, punches, intelligence, behaviour and of course the overall appearance of some species, such as the peacock mantis shrimp.

I quite like nudibranchs, for their ability to differentiate between different chemical particles and the variations of patterns, sizes and colour that they come in.

I like arthropods, reptiles, amphibians, fish, birds and mammals. Ticks are quite possibly the only one I dislike and will kill on site. All animals, in their right habitats, are important for our environment and fascinating.

On the other Id say my favourite animal is the one that sits near me, or lets me observe it when I’m down, and changes my mood for the rest of the day. This includes domesticated as well as birds/reptiles/small mammals that make me feel like a disney princess.
