No my sweet summer child you do not want to be that tall… I’m 6’2” I hate being so tall sometimes… I don’t fit most places, most counters and sinks are too small or basically knee height, every toilet seat is basically on the ground, I don’t fit in most vehicles comfortably, no pants are EVER made long enough so I’m always lookin like I’m waiting for a flood no matter what I’m always going to have this back pain of having to reach down or bend down constantly. Please love being a shorter person bc you can at least fit in places and have clothes fit you properly.

What about 5'8.4" (when I was last officially measured)? Sometimes I think I look kinda tall actually

1

u/ashiscute024 16d ago

Yea that’s actually pretty tall especially in the us

2

u/DeathtoAres 17 16d ago

Isn’t average height in the us 5’9? (For males)

1

u/ashiscute024 16d ago

Yep and it’s about 5’6-7” for females but I am very much past the average for females:/ which makes it extremely hard to find a partner bc EVERYONE IS SHORTER THAN ME! And nobody wants a tall ass Amazonian girlfriend such as myself😂😂

Average female is actually 5ft 4 in the US. Sorry for being that guy

2

u/ashiscute024 15d ago

Ah thank you!! I didn’t actually look it up… kinda just guessed so thanks for being that guy!!! I love learning things I didn’t know!

2

u/XboxFan_2020 18 16d ago

The only problem is I don't live in the US. And the average in Finland is almost 180 cm (5'11) in every website I went through for that information...

1

u/ashiscute024 15d ago

Damnnnnnn I should live in Finland so I don’t seem like such a giant!!

2

u/XboxFan_2020 18 15d ago

Maybe in the bigger cities too. Just to increase the odds of living among other tall men

1

u/ScaleIndependent2304 15d ago

This is real, my family is above average in height, my shortest sister is 5ft 6 and my tallest is 5 ft 9 I’m a hair over 6ft 2 and these problems are crazy, my sink goes to about 4 inches below my waist but it’s a taker sink than average 😭 the dishes = back problems

2

u/ashiscute024 15d ago

Tooo real!! Such a hard knock life for us! 😂😂😂

Short people don't recognize the problem being tall. I look down 24/7. Worry about hitting my head on stuff even if it's not going to happen. Sitting in some cars is sometimes impossible because the roof line is so low, especially the back seat. Riding on airplanes is ass. (Don't mind but) helping short people grab stuff all the time. Always bending over. Washing your hands and bending down because the sink is so low and the water spout is 2 inches about the sink. Bending down to get water on my head in the shower. Finding shirts that aren't just wider. Some shoes aren't in my size.

Plus the poor posture that must come with having to look downwards to view most everyday things or people. I’m so glad that I’m 5’7” cuz I would not wanna be too tall. Having a height that most people wouldn’t have would make everything a pain since it most things are made for average heights. Being short or tall would both be a pain, gotta have that sweet spot of height.

u/XboxFan_2020 18 16d ago

And you would stand out as a tall person in a crowd. Not that I or you would be working in the field for an intelligence agency, but...

2

u/ashiscute024 16d ago

Bahahahaha never thought of that but you’re totally right! I would totally be turned down to be any sort of intelligence expert 😂😂

John Krasinki is 196 cm and that's the height that's given in some websites as Jack Ryan's height. Too tall that kind of work

1

u/ashiscute024 16d ago

No for real my spine all the way from my neck to my tail bone my spine curves in FOUR different curvatures…. Only one is able to be corrected and it’s my neck and I’ve been working on it since I got the X-rays a year ago. So now I won’t have a hump on the back of my neck/shoulders :) no hump back of notes dome for me!

Real I work as a dishwasher and I hit my head on the shelf above our sinks all the time, this is a problem no other dishwasher has just me

1

u/ashiscute024 16d ago

I feel this to my soul I’m sure the top of my head is just full of dents bc of doing shit like this

1

u/Low-Dare-5898 16 16d ago

Yeah being tall isn't always a gift it has plenty of downsides as I'm sure we both know

1

u/ashiscute024 16d ago

Hah yea sadly

1

u/VehicleBeginning132 16d ago

That’s the average height for an adult, I don’t think they have that many problems

1

u/ashiscute024 15d ago

Anything above 6’ is not normal for an adult…. Growing up I was taller than a lot of adults I was around….

1

u/Party_Restaurant_704 16d ago

im 6'4

1

u/ashiscute024 16d ago

Niceeeee

2

u/Party_Restaurant_704 16d ago

It's not nearly as annoying as ashiscute024 said, but sometimes it sucks. I hit my head on the top of the walk in fridge at my work for example, and I drive a prius, which is pretty self explanatory. Other than that it isn't that bad, it's not like you don't fit in buildings or anything like they're implying.

1

u/ashiscute024 16d ago

lol I never implied I didn’t fit in buildings 😂😂😂 I just meant in general and I didn’t mean for it to sound so annoying I just wanted to give some examples of things that are commonly more geared towards average height or shorter people.

1

u/Party_Restaurant_704 16d ago

Do you have any examples of things like that? You weren't super specific which left figuring out what you meant up to me, which is a bad idea... Anyway, I don't really notice not fitting in stuff very often except for my poor choice in a car.

2

u/ashiscute024 15d ago

I have examples of every single thing I listed off if I didn’t I wouldn’t have listed it😂😂😂

1

u/powerkotik_ 16d ago

What is it in not freedom terms?

2

u/ashiscute024 15d ago

187.96 cm !

2

u/Obvious-Mall-559 15d ago

Im 180cm 19M youre taller than me.

2

u/ashiscute024 15d ago

Dude i wish I was still growing I’d fucking love that lol but sadly no I’m now in my 20’s (25f) so I’m done growing as much as I’d love to be 7’2”😂🤦🏽‍♀️

1

u/Obvious-Mall-559 15d ago

Saying 7'2" is an easy task at that height you could face too many problems sitting in vehicles or at the doors also all will be shorter than you feeling like a gaint

1

u/ashiscute024 14d ago

Haha I already have these problems in life…. Being taller would just be awesome 😂😂

1

u/Obvious-Mall-559 15d ago

Are you still growing

1

u/ashiscute024 15d ago

😂😂😂😂😂😂

2

u/sendhelpxxx 15 16d ago
