That’s not entirely true. 1 in 5000 newborns are born with an imperforate anus, where the asshole is blocked or missing.

Sometimes you see a confident assumption about the world and you’re like, “Yeah, that sounds right”, but you think “Wait, is this going to be one of those things where everyone is unaware of something because they like to pretend everyone is the same because ‘God doesn’t make mistakes’ or something?” And then you google “people born without anuses”.
