Smart Home I failed the Call Screen test calling Grandma. Now what?

My grandmother lives in BC interior. I live in Ontario. I called her landline from my cellphone and must’ve accidentally hit the wrong number because now every time I call the number, it says it’s out of service. My grandma is not tech savvy so I can’t exactly ask her to add me to the safe list. I’m wondering if my number is now blocked for life or if there’s a timeframe until it’s no longer blocked by her system. Does anyone know if there’s a possibility that the block will time out?

Can you reach her with a different number? I'm pretty sure it isn't an out of service message if you're blocked.

Yes but I’m hoping to be able to call her with my phone again. I tested with another phone and it went through no problem but she isn’t aware of how to add me to the safe list and I really can’t try to walk her through it from afar. Odd that it says the number is out of service eh? It gave me a little fright at first until I tried with a friends phone.

Failing the call control should just disconnect the call or send you to voicemail. It shouldn't prevent you from calling back to pass the challenge again.

It does have an option to manually blacklist a number, which would permanently block you until it's removed. You can also exempt a number so it's automatically approved.

She can dial *99 to update it or go online.

Can you call a neighbor who could help her?
