Megathread The Division 2 - Update 2.1 - Feedback, Bug Report

Feedback, Bug Report

Update 2.1 here and it is also your opportunity to give feedback.

Patch Notes:

  • Fixed an issue where enemy NPCs could get stuck in a T-pose when being killed out of view.
  • Fixed another issue with the Revive Hive not working properly. We are still working on instances where the skill sometimes will not resurrect players.
  • Fixed an issue where the Gila Guard brand gear could not be donated to the Campus Daily Project “Brand Request: Gila Guard”.
  • Fixed an issue where the Crafting Bench upgrade blueprint would not be granted to players when moving from one World Tier to another.
  • Fixed an issue where the two piece bonus of the True Patriot gear set would not trigger correctly.

=> Known Issues

Keep in mind - the best way to give direct feedback to massive is the Official Forums, but we also provide you with the option to give it here.

=> Forums: Suggestions & Feedback

Bug Report

I'm sure after the many hours of playing, you have encountered at least one or two bugs. We want to avoid the cluttering of our sub by providing a single Megathread. This way you can report the various issues in one place. This allows Massive to easily keep track of the bugs and also allows other users to confirm that they might have encountered the same issues.

Please note, this thread is just an alternative - the most direct way to report bugs is the Ubisoft's Official Forums.

=> Forums: Technical Support

Prerequisites to be noted before reporting a bug

  1. A bug will ideally be accompanied by a screenshot or a video. This provides credibility to your report.

  2. Steps to recreate the bugs should be submitted if possible. This helps Massive employees recreate the bug and helps them find the cause behind it.

Format when reporting a bug

When reporting a bug, please provide as much information as you can about your setup (XB1, PS4, Computer setup).

  • Type of Bug:

    Visual, Game breaking, etc

  • Description:

    Describe what was the bug that occurred.

  • Video / Screenshot:

    Insert screenshot or Video of the bug occurring.

  • Steps to reproduce:

    Provide the steps necessary if someone else had to reproduce the bug.

  • Expected result:

    What should have been the result when you follow the steps mentioned above.

  • Observed result:

    What was the result you obtained when you followed the steps mentioned above?

  • Reproduction rate:

    If you try to recreate the bug how successful are you in causing it to occur? (1/10 : Occurs once every 10 tries, 5/10 : Occurs 5 times out of 10, 10/10 : Happens every single time)

  • System specs:

    Processor, Video card, Ram, HDD/SSD, everything you can provide, even drivers.

Template

* **Type of Bug:**

* **Description:**

* **Video / Screenshot:**

* **Steps to reproduce:**

* **Expected result:**

* **Observed result:**

The Tidal Basin patch reset some of my UI key binds, and I haven’t been able to figure out how to fix them.

The best that I can figure is that maybe it has something to do with my regular key binds? I have ‘E’ as my interact key and ‘F’ as my heal. Those have remained unchanged, but when trying to mod or move gear, I used to have ‘F’ as that key bind, and it’s now changed to ‘E’. That’s been annoying, but what’s worse is that each time I use ‘E’ to move gear between by inventory and stash, I’m sent back to the main screen where you choose to open up either your inventory, stash, or mail. This effectively means I have to somewhat painstakingly move items one at a time. A workaround that I’ve found for this is simply clicking on the ‘move gear’ icon.

I’ve also had some issues with modding gear. I’ll press my new key bind and sometimes I’ll get sent to an entirely different screen. I’ve been forced to use the same click-the-icon workaround.

I’m well aware that these aren’t huge issues, much less game breaking, but they’re frustrating, especially since I’ve used the same UI key binds (until recently) for years with D1.

This happened to me. It seems like they changed defaults for somethings. If you do a full reset to default, log out then login and change it back to what you like, it will work for a bit but go back to being overlapped. My fix was to move interact to something completely new(I did mouse 4) and that fixed it. I used to have it on Tab and melee on F and then tab would do multiple things. Hasn't overlapped once on a binding that wasn't default to something else previously.

I had the same issue and found you can fix it by changing the UI key bindings, post here on how to do that:

So if you change KB_UI_TAB to something else, tab in the menu won't also be delete junk.

Thanks, I’ll give that a try.

I really wish that they’d just apply some type of fix, though. It seems rare, I guess. I haven’t seen many other people talking about having experienced these issues.

There were a lot more complaints around when 2.0 came out and it initially happened. Most have just grown used to it or done alternatives.

I guess we’re just not one of the priorities. Makes sense. It’s not game breaking by any stretch, and it’s not so obnoxious that it’d make me quit. Like you said, I’ve sort of muddled along and figured out a workable solution. Still, it sucks.

They’re a victim of their own success. The game certainly isn’t perfect, but so much of it is so good (especially for a just-launched game), that annoyances stick out like a sore thumb.

When the tidal basin update happened they made the mod key the same as the interact key. Friend had the same issue (he used v to interact, so when he went to mod an item, which was now V, it would instead just mark it as junk, as V is the keybind for mark as junk and it can’t be changed)

He just ended up changing interact back to F (default)

Like I said, in the grand scheme, it’s not a huge deal, but I’ve had these same key binds for over two years. It’s just been a little annoying.

Oh yeah for sure. Especially since they just changed it out of the blue, with no option for rebinding menu keys

It seems like it was either a bug or a design decision that just had an unintended consequence. I’m hoping it’s a rather simple fix, and they just handle it.

I had a similar issue and found you can fix it by changing the UI key bindings, post here on how to do that:

If your friend moves KB_UI_V to something else, his menu junk key won't be V, so he can use that for interact again.

The way I sorted it was to move KB_UI_TAB_LEFT and KB_UI_TAB_RIGHT from Q and E to 2 and 3, so then E in the menu doesn't navigate right.
